Yes! It is true that in life there are friendships of all kinds, by now I understand that there are friendships for parties, temporary friends, interested friends, work friends, friends of friends and real friends.

¡Si! es verdad que en la vida existen amistades de todo tipo, a estas alturas ya entiendo que hay amistades para las fiestas, amigos temporales, amigos interesados, amigos de trabajo, amigos de amigos y amigos de verdad.

Being friends means looking each other in the eye and assertively telling "The truth" no matter how hard it may be. To be friends is to be supportive, to be there when the friend needs it. It is always there to cry, to laugh, to celebrate, to share.

Ser amigos implica mirar a los ojos y decir de manera asertiva “La verdad” por más dura que ésta sea. Ser amigos es ser solidarios, estar ahí cuando el amigo lo necesita. Está siempre presente para llorar, reír, celebrar, compartir.

Recently we celebrated the day of friendship and how nice that these dates exist, but being friends is more than giving a gift, it is better to give a friend the gift of your heart and share life with them.

Today I come to tell you a little of this beautiful experience that I lived during the weekend, one of those adventures that you never want to end and you would like to repeat it again someday.

Recientemente celebrábamos el día de la amistad y que bonito que existan estas fechas, pero ser amigos es más que darse un regalo, a un amigo es preferible regalarle el corazón y compartir con ellos la vida.
Hoy vengo a contarles un poco de esta bonita experiencia que viví durante el fin de semana, una aventura de esas que uno quiere que no termine nunca y quisieras que algún día se vuelva a repetir.

On Saturday I spent the day with 4 former colleagues from the police, all of us are now retired, working on other things that have nothing to do with security. Everything happened thanks to the incredible idea of my friend Rodulfo, who had not been in Venezuela for a long time and unfortunately had to leave due to health issues.

El día sábado la pasé con 4 excompañeros de trabajo de la policía, todos estamos actualmente jubilados, ocupándonos en otras cosas que nada tienen que ver con la seguridad. Todo ocurrió gracias a la increíble idea de mi amigo Rodulfo quien desde hace mucho tiempo no venía a Venezuela, de la que lamentablemente se tuvo que ir por cuestiones de salud.

This gave us a lot of joy and we immediately wanted to see him. We who you see in this reunion have a Whatsapp group (blessed be the technology) and by this means we decided date, time and conditions.

Esto nos dio mucha alegría y de inmediato quisimos verlo. Nosotros los que ves en este reencuentro tenemos un grupo de Whatsapp (bendita sea la tecnología) y por este medio decidimos fecha, horario y condiciones.

Yes friends! There were conditions. The main condition was to be on time and have a good time.

Although we would have wanted everyone to be there, many of those who were invited were not.

¡Si amigos! Hubo condiciones. La principal condición era llegar puntual y pasarla bien.
Aunque hubiésemos queridos que todos hubiesen estado faltaron muchos de lo que fueron invitados.

But anyway, this is where friendship excuses, friendship values the effort of those of us who wanted to be there and that is why we decided to have a good time that day and nothing more.

In September I had already shown you the pictures of the Cultural Center "La Estancia" which is a beautiful place which you can see in a post I made for that date. Undoubtedly an activity like this deserved a special place.

Pero en fin, aquí es donde la amistad disculpa, la amistad valora el esfuerzo de los que si quisimos estar y por eso decidimos ese día pasarla bien y nada más.

Ya que en el mes de septiembre les había mostrado las imágenes de El centro Cultural “La Estancia” el cual es un lugar hermoso el cual pueden ver en un post que hice para esa fecha. Sin lugar a dudas una actividad como esta merecía un lugar especial.

As we had requested we all arrived early, it was very nice to meet again after such a long time. The truth is that it is not the same to write to each other on the phone than to see each other in person and be able to hug, laugh, tell and remember so many stories that we lived and more.

Tal como lo habíamos solicitado todos llegamos temprano, fue muy bonito reencontrarnos después de tanto tiempo. La verdad es que no es lo mismo escribirnos por un teléfono que vernos en persona y podernos abrazar, reír, contar y recordar tantas historias que vivimos y más.

Parque "Francisco de Miranda"

At noon we went to eat a delicious pizza and then we went for a walk to the park "Francisco de Miranda" which is very close to the previous one.

Al llegar el medio día nos fuimos a comer una rica pizza y luego nos fuimos a caminar al parque “Francisco de Miranda” el cual queda muy cerca del anterior.

Here we could rest, have a coffee and continue chatting about everything and everyone. The truth is that we couldn't stop laughing. We even laughed about ourselves, about how old and wrinkled we are, about how fat we are now, about what we went through when we did the police course.

Aquí pudimos descansar, tomarnos un café y seguir charlando de todo y de todos. La verdad es que no parábamos de reír. Nos reíamos hasta de nosotros mismos, de los viejos y arrugamos que estamos, de lo gordos que estamos ahora, de lo que pasamos cuando hicimos el curso policial.

There is a phrase that says "To remember is to live" and I really felt that way this day, I felt alive, excited, happy.

There are friendships that last a lifetime, there are friendships that sometimes support you more than a brother, they shelter you, understand you and congratulate you when you do something well.

Dice una frase que “Recordar es vivir” y realmente así me sentí este día, me sentí viva, emocionada, feliz.

Hay amistades que perduran toda una vida, hay amistades que a veces te apoyan más que un hermano, te abrigan, te entienden y te felicitan cuando haces algo bien.

We have 28 years knowing each other, enjoying this friendship and I hope we continue like this for a long time; for friends we always raise a prayer and ask for blessings, so I hope my friend Rodulfo gets better and returns soon to our country, with his family and friends.

Nosotros tenemos 28 años conociéndonos, disfrutando de esta amistad y espero que sigamos así por mucho tiempo; por los amigos siempre se eleva una oración y pedimos bendiciones, por eso espero que mi amigo Rodulfo se mejore y regrese pronto a nuestro país, junto a su familia y amigos.

From this experience I have the desire to see them again; I hope it will be repeated soon and that more people will go so they can also feel what I felt.

De esta experiencia me queda las ganas de volver a verlos; espero que se repita pronto y que vayan más personas para que también puedan sentir lo que yo sentí.
