A greeting to all my dear friends of #Streetart, here I am again to continue learning with you and learning more about the world of street art and its artists. With this I make my entry this week to CCC's Street Art Contest #68 | 100% Liquid Payout as Prize Pool & Winners of #67, I would like to invite more people to join this dynamic that caught me from the first day.
I'm on the streets, I'm watching
I have always considered myself a very observant person, when I walk down the street I like to see the beautiful buildings, the architecture of the houses, the billboards, the trees and everything. The truth is that in life there are many things to see and to admire; since I learned about this community was born in me an interest to see the work that these guys of the night elaborate, I say so because after researching a little about their life and the tribes to which they correspond I see that there is a life and a movement behind each graffiti.
Last week I was telling you about CMS crew and how they all came together to make this activity their life. When I see a ROSE graffiti I can imagine a girl, but if I see a Senk graffiti I imagine a handsome, tall, blond guy, it means to me they already have a face and I like to imagine how they all get together during the night to plan their next work.
In this post I wanted to differentiate between what is modern street art and the letter graffiti that we have seen many, many times on bridges and avenues. The first image is what is fashionable and is being seen a lot lately on our walls, especially very close to commercial establishments that do not bother to look for these artists to make their works and decorate their walls, on the contrary they offer materials such as paints and espráis as a kind of payment or collaboration.
I found the first image a few days ago on Francisco de Miranda Avenue, Chacao municipality in Caracas, very close to the Sambil shopping mall. As soon as I saw it I asked my husband to park and give me a few minutes to take the picture, for a moment I was a little embarrassed with the gentlemen of the commercial establishment (hardware store) but I made some signs that if I could take the picture and they said yes. As I said I am new to this and I don't know how far it is allowed to borrow these images to publish in our blogs.
Letters and typographies for graffiti
The other images of lettering and typography for graffiti, I found them on the avenue volver de san Bernardino, Caracas, Venezuela, on the walls of the old Sambil, a very extensive wall that is full of all kinds of works of the CMS tribe.
Anecdotes of terror
In an interview with the artist Senk, he said that before making a graffiti they must study the area very well, they almost always work in the early hours of the morning and on many occasions they have had to flee from the police. He says that once two officers chased them for a long time but they were able to hide and escape. After a while they wanted to return to the place where they had left their work and found a chilling surprise, in that place they found the body of a man.
Don't ask me where it happened, the truth is I don't remember if it said so in the story I read, but I can only imagine the tremendous fright they got. These are their stories and little by little I will learn more about them and how they travel the world carrying a culture.

Un saludo a todos mis queridos amigos de #Streetart, por acá me encuentro nuevamente para seguir aprendiendo junto a ustedes y conociendo más sobre el mundo del arte callejero y de sus artistas. Con esto hago mi entrada esta semana al CCC's Street Art Contest #68 | 100% Liquid Payout as Prize Pool & Winners of #67, me gustaría invitara a más personas a que se unan a esta dinámica que me atrapó desde el primer día.
Por las calles voy, observando estoy
Siempre me he considerado una persona muy observadora, cuando ando por la calle me gusta ver los edificios bonitos, la arquitectura de las casas, las vallas publicitarias, los árboles y todo. La verdad es que en la vida hay muchas cosas que ver y que admirar; desde que supe de esta comunidad nació en mi un interés de ver el trabajo que elaboran estos chicos de la noche, digo así porque luego de investigar un poco sobre su vida y las tribus a las que corresponden veo que hay una vida y un movimiento detrás de cada graffiti.
La semana pasada les hablaba de CMS crew y de cómo todos se unieron para hacer de esta actividad su vida. Cuando veo un grafiti de ROSE me puedo imaginar a una chica, pero en cambio sí veo un grafiti de Senk me imagino que es un chico guapo, alto, rubio, quiere decir para mí ya tienen rostro y me gusta imaginar cómo se reúnen todos durante la noche para planificar su siguiente obra.
En esta publicación quise hacer diferencia entre lo que es arte callejero moderno y el grafiti de letras que hemos visto en muchísimas oportunidades en puentes y avenidas. La primera imagen es lo que está de moda y se está viendo mucho últimamente en nuestras paredes, sobre todo muy cerca de establecimientos comerciales que no se molestan en buscar a estos artistas para que hagan sus obras y decoren sus paredes, por el contrario ofrecen materiales como pinturas y espráis como una especie de pago o colaboración.
La primera imagen la encontré hace unos días en la avenida Francisco de Miranda, municipio Chacao en Caracas muy cerca del Centro comercial El Sambil. Apenas la vi le pedí a mi esposo que se estacionara y me regalara unos minutos para ir a tomar la imagen, por un momento me dio algo de pena con los señores del establecimiento comercial (ferretería) pero les hice unas señas que si podía tomar la foto y me dijeron que sí. Como les dije soy nueva en esto y no sé hasta donde sea permitido que uno tome prestado estas imágenes para publicar en nuestros blogs.
Letras y tipografías para graffitis
Las demás imágenes de letras y tipografías para graffitis, las encontré en la avenida volver de san Bernardino, Caracas, Venezuela, en las paredes del antiguo Sambil, una pared muy extensa que está llena de todo tipo de trabajos de la tribu CMS.
Anécdotas de terror
En una entrevista que le hicieran al artista Senk, él contaba que antes de hacer un graffiti deben estudiar muy bien la zona, casi siempre trabajan en horas de la madrugada y en muchas oportunidades han tenido que salir huyendo de la policía. Cuenta que una vez dos oficiales los persiguieron por un buen rato pero ellos pudieron esconderse y escapar. Al rato quisieron regresar al lugar donde habían dejado su trabajo y se encontraron con una escalofriante sorpresa, en ese lugar encontraron el cadáver de un hombre.
No me pregunten donde sucedió, la verdad no recuerdo si en la historia que leí lo decía, pero solo puedo imaginar el tremendo susto que se llevaron. Son sus historias y poco a poco iré conociendo más de ellos y de cómo recorren el mundo llevando una cultura.

Esta compilación de grafittis me parece genial, pues para mí son arte, además de tener el mérito de ser creaciones que se hacen bajo presiones de todo tipo: Policía, delincuencia, clima, oscuridad, etc. Está muy buena la anécdota final que incluyes, supongo que el susto que se llevó ese graffitero debe haber sido fuerte. No he parado de pensar en eso, esta mañana le contaba a mi hijo lo que había escrito y nos reíamos y sacábamos nuestras propias conclusiones de esa aventura. Un susto enorme se llevaron esos chicos. Gracias por tu visita querida sirena.
