Today the sky has cleared, we have finally seen the sun after several days of rain and I hope it stays like this to be able to warm our land that is already quite soaked. When it's a sunny day I like to go out, I like to walk and enjoy what nature has to offer. It's not that I don't like the rain! On the contrary, I keep in my heart the best memories of it from when I was a child.

Hoy ha despejado el cielo, por fin hemos visto el sol después de varios días de lluvia y espero que se mantenga así para poder calentar nuestra tierra que ya está bastante empapada. Cuando hace un día de sol me gusta salir, me gusta caminar y disfrutar de lo que la naturaleza nos ofrece. ¡No es que no me guste la lluvia! Por el contrario, guardo en mi corazón los mejores recuerdos de ella de cuando era niña.

A few days ago I was running some errands in La Gran Caracas, to be exact I walked around Altamira in the municipality of Chacao. I would like to tell you that Chacao is a very organized community in my city, worthy of being an example for many municipalities; its people are polite, clean, who love and take care of what they have.

Hace unos días estuve haciendo unas diligencias en La Gran Caracas, para ser exactos anduve por Altamira en el municipio Chacao. Me gustaría contarte que Chacao es una comunidad muy organizada en mi ciudad, digna de ser ejemplo para muchos municipios; su gente es educada, limpia, que aman y cuidan lo que tienen.

There, very close to the Altamira square, icon of the city, is the cultural center "La Estancia", a beautiful place, a giant garden hidden among so many buildings around it. It has a variety of vegetation, giant trees, wildlife, children's playground, exhibition halls, cafe-bookstore, among others.

Allí muy cerca de la plaza Altamira, icono de la ciudad, se encuentra El centro cultural “La estancia”, un lugar hermoso, un jardín gigante escondido entre tantos edificios a su alrededor. Posee una variada vegetación, arboles gigantes, fauna silvestre, parque infantil, salones de exposición, cafetín-librería, entre otros.

The Estancia was designed and built to generate culture, promote recreation through various artistic events such as conferences, art and photography exhibitions, concerts, contests, relaxation activities such as yoga and more.

La Estancia fue pensada y construida para generar cultura, impulsar la recreación a partir de variadas manifestaciones artísticas tales como conferencia, exposiciones de arte y fotografía, conciertos, concursos, actividades de relajación como yoga y más
En este lugar se encontraba una de las principales haciendas cafetaleras de la ciudad llamada “La Floresta” que data de tiempos de la colonia.

In this place was one of the main coffee plantations of the city called "La Floresta" dating from colonial times.

Here you can come whenever you want either alone or with your family and friends to enjoy the peace and harmony that this place offers.
I went alone that day and took many pictures, enjoyed the scenery, laughed a lot watching the ducks of all colors and sizes. I can only tell you that I had a great time and then I went home full of good energy that you could see in my smile.

Aquí puedes venir cuando quieras ya sea solo o con tu familia y amigos para disfrutar de la paz y armonía que este lugar nos ofrece.

Yo ese día fui sola y tomé muchas fotografías, disfruté del paisaje, me reí mucho viendo los patos de todos colores y tamaños. Solo les puedo decir que la pasé genial y luego me fui a casa cargada de una buena energía que se notaba en mi sonrisa.

I am sure that soon I will come back and enjoy the beautiful gardens with more time, take off my shoes, feel the grass on my feet, breathe fresh air, feel the breeze and the sun's rays that penetrate through the branches.

Estoy segura que pronto volveré y disfrutaré con más tiempo de sus bellos jardines, me quitaré los zapatos, sentiré la grama en mis pies, respirare aire fresco, sentiré la brisa y los rayos del sol que penetran por entre las ramas.

The truth is that it was pleasant to have strayed for a moment from my path and to have invested a few minutes of my time to revisit this place that every day is more beautiful than before.

This is what life is all about, to enjoy, to be happy even for a short moment. Why run, it is better to walk, to take steps that allow you to see around you.

La verdad es que fue placentero haberme desviado por un instante de mi camino y haber invertido unos minutos de mi tiempo para volver a visitar este lugar que cada día está más hermoso que antes.

De esto se trata la vida, de disfrutar, de ser feliz aunque sea por corto un instante. Para que correr, es mejor caminar, dar pasos que te permitan ver a tu alrededor.

A garden within the city that deserves to be visited and cared for future generations.

Un jardín dentro de la ciudad que merece ser visitado y cuidado para las generaciones futuras.
