When we are only days away from December, I can only feel grateful to God for allowing me the joy of celebrating one more Christmas with my family and friends. This year 2021 was really good for me, I have worked hard, it is true, but this week I have thought that it was worth so much effort. Today I am about to finish a series of repair works in my house and that excites me. I never thought I had so many damaged things, it is incredible how many things can be damaged and we leave them for when there is time, when I remember, in the meantime or when there is money.

    To do all these repairs took about 3 months, it all started with the washing machine, then something else and something else, but I set out to fix everything and I did it. yuuupiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

Now to clean and decorate!

    While all this was happening I was making many beautiful things to release this year at Christmas, some of them you have seen and today I come to show you one more; it is a beautiful cushion made with recycled jean and stuffed with foam pillows that we no longer use, so I washed all the stuffing, I put it to dry and then patiently I was opening it again until it was very fluffy.

    The truth is I had never done anything like this before, this idea was given to me by my sewing teacher and I thought it was great because those pillows were going straight to the trash. Well, now we just have to clean up and tomorrow with God's favor we will decorate our tree, manger and everything as I have dreamed.

Much to be thankful for

    Before getting into fabrics and threads, I would like to tell you that while I was making this cushion I could not stop thinking about the good things that have happened to me this year, the truth is many, I have health, I see my children happy, studying, achieving their goals. And how not to thank for my husband! the love of my life, my running mate, with him and thanks to him I have achieved many of the things I wanted this year. Thanks to you too HIVE, thanks for being the best platform in the world, honest, well organized, that protects all its users and does everything so that every day we grow and become better.

    As I told you this year I have worked hard, but these three months have been strong, I set the goal to produce the money to help my mother and also fix some things in her house. None of this would have been possible if I had not been supported by so many nice people from Hive, thank you all very much and God bless you forever!

Christmas flower cushion, dedicated to HIVE, the best platform in the world

    You all know I love recycling and when an old jean comes into my hands I do magic. Today I made this cushion that will remain as decoration and support on my desk chair because let's be clear! That special place could not be left without anything!

    The materials I used are just fabric scraps of all colors.

Step by step

    We cut all the patterns that we are going to use, remember that you can place any motif you want, from a snowman, reindeer, bamboo, whatever, so do not stay with the desire to do it because on the internet you can get an infinite number of patterns to copy, print and cut.

    Now that we have our idea organized we can move on to the next step which is to place peeling with glue or esparteri, this will prevent the fabric of the flower from fraying at the edges, so it will last a lot of years.

    What I did to speed up the process a bit was to arrange my flower on the jean fabric and baste with long stitches with thread and needle. Then I went to the sewing machine and went zigzag stitch all around the edge, don't forget to use the thread color according to your work.

    On the back I did another embroidery in letters with Christmas fabric. Lastly I removed the excess thread, faced right side to right side, and passed straight and zigzag stitching all around the edge leaving an opening of 20 centimeters for stuffing.

    Christmas is a time for sharing, so I hope that this week all those people that I love very much can come to my house. I want to give them time, take lots of pictures of memories and have a good laugh and a coffee or a good drink. I hope you can do the same, because that's what we have left, my friends.

¡La Navidad es un tiempo para compartir!

Cuando estamos a tan solo días para que llegué el mes de diciembre, solo puedo sentirme agradecida con Dios por permitirme la dicha de celebrar una navidad más junto a mi familia y mis amigos. Este año 2021 la verdad fue muy bueno para mí, ¡he trabajado bastante! ¡Es verdad! pero esta semana he pensado que valió la pena tanto esfuerzo. Hoy ya están por terminar una serie de trabajos de reparación en mi casa y eso me emociona. Jamás pensé que tuviese tantas cosas dañadas, es increíble cuantas cosas se pueden dañar y las vamos dejando para cuando haya tiempo, cuando me acuerde, mientras tanto o cuando haya dinero.

Para hacer todas estas reparaciones transcurrieron unos 3 meses, todo comenzó con la lavadora, luego otra cosa y otra cosa, pero me propuse arreglar todo y lo logre. ¡Yuuupiiiiiiii!

¡Ahora a limpiar y decorar!

Mientras todo esto sucedía fui haciendo muchas cosas bonitas para estrenar este año en navidad, algunas de ellas ustedes las han visto y hoy les vengo a mostrar una más; se trata de un hermoso cojín hecho con jean reciclado y relleno con espuma de almohadas que ya no usamos, así que lavé todo el relleno, lo puse a secar y luego con paciencia lo fui abriendo nuevamente hasta que quedara muy esponjoso.

La verdad nunca había hecho algo así, esta idea me la dio mi maestra de costura y me pareció genial porque ya esas almohadas iban directamente a la basura. Pues bien, ahora solo nos queda limpiar y mañana con el favor de Dios nos dedicamos a decorar nuestro árbol, pesebre y todo como lo he soñado.

Mucho que agradecer

Antes de entrar en materia de telas e hilos, quisiera comentarles que mientras hacia este cojín no podía dejar de pensar en las cosas buenas que me han sucedido este año, la verdad son muchas, tengo salud, veo a mis hijos contentos, estudiando, logrando sus metas. ¡Y como no agradecer por mi esposo! el amor de mi vida, mi compañero de fórmula, con él y gracias a él he alcanzado muchas de las cosas que desee este año. Gracias a ti también HIVE, gracias por ser la mejor plataforma del mundo, honesta, bien organizada, que protege a todos sus usuarios y hace de todo para que cada día crezcamos y seamos mejores.

Como les dije este año he trabajado duro, pero estos tres meses han sido fuertes, me propuse la meta de producir el dinero para ayudar a mi madre y arreglarle también algunas cosas en su casa. Nada de esto hubiese sido posible sino me hubiese apoyando tantas personas lindas de Hive. ¡A todos muchas gracias y que Dios les bendiga por siempre!

Cojín flor de navidad, dedicado a HIVE, la mejor plataforma del mundo

Todos saben que amo el reciclaje y cuando llega un jean viejo a mis manos hago magia. Hoy hice este cojín que quedará como decoración y apoyo en mi silla de escritorio ¡Porque vamos a ser claros! ¡Ese lugar tan especial no podía quedar sin nada!

Los materiales que utilicé son solo recortes de tela de todos colores.

Paso a paso

Cortamos todos los patrones que vamos a utilizar, recuerda que puedes colocar cualquier motivo que desees, desde un muñeco de nieve, reno, bambalinas, lo que sea, así que no te quedes con las ganas de hacerlo porque en internet puedes conseguir una infinidad de patrones para copiar, imprimir y cortar.

Ahora que tenemos nuestra idea organizada podemos pasar al siguiente paso que es colocar pelón con pega o esparteri, esto evitará con la tela de la flor se deshilache por las orillas, así durará un montón de años.

Lo que hice para acelerar un poco el proceso fue organizar mi flor sobre la tela de jean y bastear con puntadas largas con hilo y aguja. Luego me fui a la máquina de coser y fui pasando puntada zigzag por toda la orilla, no olvides utilizar el color de hilo según tu trabajo.

En la parte posterior hice otro bordado en letras con tela de navidad. Por ultimo retiré los excesos de hilo, enfrenté derecho con derecho y pase costura recta y zigzag por todo el borde dejando una abertura de 20 centímetros para rellenar.

La navidad es tiempo para compartir, así que espero que esta semana puedan venir a mi casa todas esas personas a las que estimo mucho. Deseo brindarles tiempo, tomarnos muchas fotos del recuerdo y reírnos un buen rato y tomarnos un café o un buen trago. Espero que ustedes puedan hacer lo mismo, porque eso es lo que nos queda amigos.
