Hola queridos amigos

Este fin de semana estuvo algo movido por acá por casa día sábado tuve la oportunidad de asistir a mi primera fiesta dónde se celebra la revelación del género del bebé esto es algo relativamente nuevo en mi país Venezuela quien ha adoptado esta bonita costumbre de otros países.

Hay costumbres buenas y otras no tanto pero consideró que ésta me parece divertida, El gender reveal o Revelación del sexo del bebé, se trata de una fiesta en que la familia y amigos de la pareja y futuros padres develan el tan anhelado misterio que durante semanas puede ser guardado por el médico para dárselo a conocer solo a la persona designada de organizar la reunión.

En este caso la encargada reconocer el secreto fue Lucía la mamá de Paola. La fecha de la revelación fue este sábado 24 de septiembre, en donde todos nos reunimos para celebrar no solo la develación, sino también la alegría de ver a Paola embarazada, celebrar la unión con su pareja Marlon y festejar junto a esos abuelos, tíos y amigos por la llegada de este bebé que seguro y desde ya, alegrará cada uno de sus días.

Conozco a Paola desde que era una adolescente, ella siempre ha sido una persona alegre, tranquila, amable, educada y una de las características que más me encanta de ella es su humildad. Paola y mi amiga Lucía siempre han sido unas de mis mejores clientes, recuerdo que muchas oportunidades cuando me encargaban lencería de bebé conversábamos acerca de lo que a ella le gustaría hacer cuando tuviese su propio bebé. Todas soñábamos despiertas, sabíamos que tenía que ser cosas hermosas, con detalles llenos de amor.

Pues apenas Paola se enteró de la noticia hace unos meses, en, escribió para contarme. Recuerdo que me dijo que ya esta vez no iba a encargar nada para otra persona sino para su propio bebé. Yo me alegré muchísimo, ya que aquel sueño que en varias oportunidades construimos ¡Hoy!, ¡por fin! ¡Era una realidad!

Al darme la noticia Paola me dijo: _ ¡prepárate! ¡Porque te viene trabajo!
Nada me hace más feliz en esta vida que bordar, tejer y coser las cosas para el nacimiento de un bebé, pero cuando este trabajo es para alguien tan especial como Paola, todo se vuelve más “Especial”.

Pues bien el sábado no fuimos a casa de Paola y esperábamos con ansias que llegará el momento unos éramos del Team rosa y otros del Team azul, yo por supuesto quería que Paola tuviese niña ya que desde que me dio la noticia he imaginado las cosas bellas qué le puedo hacer.

A las 20:00 h de la noche estoy por la hora todos saltamos de alegría cuando al abrir la serpentina en el aire salió un polvo Rosado hermoso. Yo gritaba de emoción y todos nos abrazábamos como si fuese año nuevo. La verdad fue una experiencia muy bonita haber asistido a esta actividad y ahora puedo decir qué se siente muy bonito y me gustaría hacérselo a otras personas. Aquí no gano nadie, solo ganó el amor y el interés mutuo de que ahora esa bebé nazca sana y bendecida por Dios.

Por ser mi primera experiencia en este tipo de reuniones no sabía qué regalar, Por eso busqué en internet algunas ideas que me ayudaran aclarar este punto. Como nadie sabe si es hembra varón se acostumbra a regalar pañales, teteros, cobijas de tonos neutros, entre otros. Yo quise salirme un poco de lo normal y busque ideas en internet para tejer algo que tuviese un uso especial. Recuerdo que la semana pasada nuestra amiga @Tibaire realizó un trabajo hermoso de una manta de apego tejida en crochet esa hermosa idea quedó rondando en mi cabeza y pensaba que podía realizar algo así con colores unisex.

Seguí ampliando esa idea y encontré un guarda pijama en forma de oveja que sirve para dejar guardado sobre la cuna la de ropa de dormir del bebé. Pero también me pareció que podía servir para decorar de forma hermosa el espacio de la cuna, la cama o cualquier lugar donde decidan colocarlo.

Este guarda pijama lo puedes encontrar en internet en distintos patrones; yo escogí hacerlo en puntos puff de tres puntos altos pero también se puede hacer en punto arroz. En vista de la premura del evento hice el punto puff qué es más rápido y queda igual de hermoso y nos lo enseña muy bien nuestra amiga @Patrigurumis en You tube, al final del post les dejo más información del enlace.

Amigurumi.

Recuerdo qué la vez pasada Cuando Participe en el concurso de joyería de la comunidad NeedleworkMonday utilice la técnica de amigurumi por primera vez y me gustó tanto qué prometí realizar algo más elaborado para seguir practicando este tejido. Pude darme cuenta que realmente todo nace a partir de un aro mágico para realizar bolas, pero en el camino vas dándole forma de acuerdo a la parte que pretendas hacer. La cara, patas y orejas fueron hechas en puntos bajos, súper fácil de hacer. Cuando elaboramos el cuerpo, colocamos un cierre al final. Luego unimos todas las partes, dibujamos o bordamos los ojos y la nariz y pintamos con pintura de tela para que al lavar no se borre tan fácilmente.

This weekend was a little busy here at home on Saturday I had the opportunity to attend my first party where the baby's gender reveal is celebrated, this is something relatively new in my country Venezuela who has adopted this beautiful custom from other countries.

There are good customs and others not so good but I think this one is fun, the gender reveal or baby's sex revelation, it is a party where the family and friends of the couple and future parents unveil the long awaited mystery that for weeks can be kept by the doctor to make it known only to the person designated to organize the meeting.

In this case, the person in charge of recognizing the secret was Lucía, Paola's mother. The date of the revelation was this Saturday, September 24, where we all gathered to celebrate not only the unveiling, but also the joy of seeing Paola pregnant, celebrate the union with her partner Marlon and celebrate with those grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends for the arrival of this baby that will surely and from now on, brighten up each of their days.

I have known Paola since she was a teenager, she has always been a cheerful, calm, kind, polite person and one of the characteristics that I love the most about her is her humility. Paola and my friend Lucia have always been some of my best clients, I remember that many times when they ordered baby lingerie from me we would talk about what she would like to do when she had her own baby. We all daydreamed, we knew it had to be beautiful things, with details full of love.

As soon as Paola found out the news a few months ago, she wrote to tell me. I remember she told me that this time she was not going to order anything for someone else but for her own baby. I was overjoyed, because that dream that we had built up several times was finally a reality!

When Paola told me the news, she said to me: "Get ready, because you have a job coming!

Nothing makes me happier in this life than embroidering, knitting and sewing things for the birth of a baby, but when this work is for someone as special as Paola, everything becomes more "Special".

Well, on Saturday we went to Paola's house and we were anxiously waiting for the moment to arrive, some of us were from Team pink and others from Team blue, I of course wanted Paola to have a girl because since she gave me the news I have imagined the beautiful things I can do for her.

At 8:00 p.m. I'm about to tell you the time we all jumped for joy when the streamer opened and a beautiful pink powder came out of the air. I screamed with excitement and we all hugged each other as if it was New Year's Eve. The truth is that it was a very nice experience to have attended this activity and now I can say that it feels very nice and I would like to do it to other people. Nobody wins here, only the love and mutual interest that this baby will be born healthy and blessed by God.

As this is my first experience in this type of meeting I did not know what to give as a gift, so I searched the internet for some ideas to help me clarify this point. Since no one knows if it is a girl or a boy, it is customary to give diapers, baby bottles, blankets in neutral tones, among others. I wanted to go a little out of the ordinary and looked for ideas on the internet to knit something that would have a special use. I remember that last week our friend @Tibaire made a beautiful work of an attachment blanket crocheted in crochet that beautiful idea was hanging around in my head and I thought I could do something like that with unisex colors.

I continued to expand this idea and I found a sheep-shaped pajama keeper that can be used to keep the baby's sleepwear on top of the crib. But I also thought it could be used to decorate beautifully the crib, the bed or any place where you decide to place it.

You can find this pajama guard on the internet in different patterns; I chose to make it in puff stitch with three high stitches but you can also make it in rice stitch. In view of the urgency of the event I did the puff stitch which is faster and is just as beautiful and our friend @Patrigurumis teaches it very well on You tube, at the end of the post I leave more information on the link.

Amigurumi.

I remember last time when I participated in the jewelry contest of the NeedleworkMonday community I used the amigurumi technique for the first time and I liked it so much that I promised to make something more elaborate to continue practicing this weaving. I realized that everything really starts with a magic hoop to make balls, but along the way you shape it according to the part you want to make. The face, legs and ears were made in low stitches, super easy to do. When we made the body, we put a zipper at the end. Then we joined all the parts together, drew or embroidered the eyes and nose and painted with fabric paint so that it won't wash off so easily.
