Desde niña pude ver una costumbre que no era nada nueva, ha pasado de generación en generación, se trata del arado de la tierra, de cómo se siembra y se obtiene una hermosa cosecha; la verdad es que ver todo esto es algo prodigioso.

Para obtener una cosecha de tomate, maíz o caraotas lleva meses de arduo trabajo bajo el sol y muchas veces bajo la luna. Para preparar la tierra para la siembra utilizan muchas técnicas, todo depende del tipo de espacio y suelo que se nos presente.

Hoy les vengo a contar sobre una en especial que aunque muchos creen extinta resulta que están equivocados porque está más viva que nunca. El arado con bueyes es una técnica milenaria, si nos ponemos a investigar en la historia hemos visto a estos animales desde los tiempos antes de cristo.

They are also trained to convert or domesticate them as tame animals, which serve specific purposes such as heavy loads or plowing large tracts of land. El buey no es más que un toro pero con características especiales, a medida que va creciendo se va observando como es, si tiene porte para aguantar el trabajo fuerte, también se observa la forma de los cachos o cuernos, estos deben ser de forma inclinada hacia adelante y no hacia arriba, ya que de allí es donde se sostiene la reja. También son capados para convertirlos o domesticarlos como animales mansos, que sirvan para fines específicos como carga pesada o el arado de grandes extensiones de terreno. A medida que el becerro va creciendo se le va colocando un yugo liviano y se le van aplicando ciertos trabajos para irlo acostumbrando y cuando ya tiene unos 3 años está listo para realizar el trabajo de un experto.

Mi hermano es el encargado de la comunidad para manejar este tractor y aunque muchas veces quisiera hacer el trabajo no puede porque corre el riesgo de que el tractor se voltee en estas pendientes. Aquí es donde entran lo héroes de hoy, hacer ese trabajo que Dios o la vida les asigno.
