Life always takes care of putting us in the right place, they say that when a door closes hundreds of windows open; today when I have been remembering how my life has been this year and the changes that my blog has undergone, I can only summarize that God has been very good to me! Facing changes, entering unknown worlds is not easy, many times fear takes over us and sorrow invades your thoughts and puts a thick cloud that does not let you see the way forward. That is where the fighting spirit comes in, which defends your ideas and helps you to build what you long for.

On that road you meet wonderful people, people you like so much that they become part of that select group that are your example to follow. Today I thank Lizelle again, she has inspired me a lot in my path and I am grateful to God and to life for having met her. Always following in her footsteps I came to the community when it was just beginning to take its first steps, it was amazing to see how an idea was taking shape. Shortly after I made my first post and I felt very comfortable, because it was the right place for me, where I could share my experience as a retiree.

There I also understood that life does not end when you leave a job of so many years, but only a cycle has closed or as I said at the beginning "a door" but then a lot of possibilities open to move forward.

Today I want to celebrate and thank Silver bloggers and all their team for being there, for existing for people like me. Here I can highlight two main characteristics which are: joy and peace, I like to see your posts, share with you in them and see all those things you do day by day. Your travels, your recipes, the things you do at home, the books and movies you enjoy the most, I like everything. Ah, but recently we also came together and helped a member who was going through a difficult situation.

When I see this union I realize that we are no longer a group of writers trying to earn a few coins and nothing more, but on the contrary we are a beautiful growing family and that is why I am deeply proud to belong to it and to be able to carry the name SilverCandy, which identifies me as part of this generation that started this community.

I hope this is the first year of many that we are going to celebrate, many congratulations to the team behind the scenes that always so kindly attend us and receive with love to all who arrive. Many congratulations and God bless you.

Speaking of celebrations and birthdays I have thought about how things have changed here in my country Venezuela; here we have not stopped celebrating any party despite the adversities, not even last year when I was infected with covid19 and we were voluntarily locked in our apartment we stopped celebrating my birthday.

In years before this one, we went through a crisis where in order to sing a birthday with cake we had to start gathering ingredients from a month before or exchange diapers for wheat flour and bath soap for sugar. But we never stopped singing birthdays, I remember that in my family if someone had a birthday, everyone committed to look for an ingredient, in short, the idea was to get together and sing birthdays.

You are right, celebrations have changed a lot for me. If we talk about the beautiful youth I remember that on my 18th birthday we went to 5 discos that night, it was the first time they let me in without asking for my ID, so I wanted to know them all.

Then the celebrations as a mother of two beautiful children led me to organize the parties and in that I think I was very good, I liked to organize with time, choose the reason, invite everyone and have a good time.

Something that has not changed over time is that I like to give a lot of things to eat at my meetings, those who know me know that I like to cook and I always invent something new (my hours on the internet must be good for something) I recently discovered how to make Mexican anchovies and they have been a total success.

Ah, but it's not all about food! Celebrations without music and dancing is not a celebration! When we get ready to dance no one can stop us, I like to dance all kinds of things and in my house no one stays seated, so if you come to my house one day don't forget to bring some comfortable shoes to dance and enjoy.

I like to celebrate my birthday in a different way, every year I can I go on a trip, I like to get out of the house, I like to do nothing; in short, I like to be taken care of on that day. This year I went all out with the trip I organized with my family after spending two years locked up because of the global pandemic.

So I organized ahead of time and looked for a secluded and beautiful place that my family had not known and I took them. I can only tell you that we had an incredible time in Isla larga, a paradisiacal place located in puerto cabello, Carabobo state, Venezuela. Birthdays like this are the ones I prefer for me, in other opportunities we have visited Colonia Tovar, Merida, Maracaibo, Margarita. The idea is that every year on my birthday I get to know a new place, a beautiful corner of my country, that it is like a family tradition and thus create beautiful memories forever.

How nice it is to celebrate, how beautiful it is to live life and share it with our loved ones. Today also made me remember the last birthday I spent with my father, that hug I can never forget, I was turning 21 and although I lived far away from them that year I decided to travel and spend it at home, I remember my mom made me a cake and decorated it in green, my childhood friends came to my house and we had a few drinks, but the most beautiful thing was that hug, I miss very much.

I have received many hugs in my life, but the hugs from my dad I carry in my mind and in my heart; he always received me at the door of the house, there he waited with a smile from ear to ear and opened his arms to squeeze me tightly to his chest and give me his blessing.

How nice it is to remember, how nice it is to spend it here with you and tell these stories that we have kept for a long time. Once again thank you all for creating these spaces, today you made me cry, but I forgive you because they are tears of love, peace and happiness. God bless you, I love you all very much indeed.

Our celebrations have also changed, as many of the family members no longer live in the country. But we have to continue the traditions and celebrate life every day.
I also missed my dad's hugs a lot. I'm sure yours from heaven hugs you every day.
Thank you for join the BOM :)
Have a lovely day🤗

after a while when my dad passed away I dreamt that I found him in a very nice place, it was all white, he hugged me and told me "Don't worry, where I am, I'm fine".
If you only knew how beautiful I felt after that dream.

I can imagine how you feel.🤗 And from what you say, your dad was a great person, so he is probably in a beautiful place where he is looking after you.

Ah thank you for the beautiful words of appreciation and for a stunning 'ode to celebrations' @carolinacardoza! I really admire how you and the people of your country don't let anything get you down and that you celebrate not only all the special occasions, but also life itself! An awesome #bom 💞

Since childhood we are taught to live in joy, in abundance, we highlight more the beautiful and positive things of everything that happens to us. I believe that faith in God has a lot to do with this.
