Cascada El Cañón

Veo estas imágenes y pienso en como de una locura puede resultar algo tan hermoso y gratificante que te hace sentir bien por unos cuantos días y la sensación aun se siente aunque haya pasado el tiempo.

I see these images and think about how something so beautiful and rewarding can come out of something crazy that makes you feel good for a few days and the feeling is still there even though time has passed.

¿Qué si fue fácil? ¡Está bien, lo diré! ¡No lo fue! Tal vez eso es lo que hace que las cosas de la vida sean aún más especial, lo que nos cuesta o lo que no es fácil de alcanzar es lo que más se valora en la vida y esto se puede llevar a la vida diaria ya sea en una relación de pareja, un empleo, una carrera.

Was it easy? Okay, I'll say it! It wasn't! Maybe that's what makes things in life even more special, what we struggle with or what is not easy to achieve is what is most valued in life and this can be carried over into everyday life whether it be in a relationship, a job, a career.

Cuantas veces no hemos escuchado el valor impresionante que posee un diamante pero ya muchos conocemos por qué esta piedra preciosa es tan valiosa. Pues así mismo fue este paseo a la montaña, el resultado fue haber encontrado este lugar mágico, único y lleno de paz y armonía del cual tú no quisieras escapar.

How many times have we not heard the impressive value of a diamond, but many of us already know why this precious stone is so valuable. The result was to have found this magical place, unique and full of peace and harmony from which you would not want to escape.

Si es cierto, no fue nada fácil llegar allá, costo sangre, sudor y lágrimas, pero la recompensa a tu esfuerzo fue encontrar este lindo paraíso escondido en las montañas de Venezuela.

Yes it is true, it was not easy to get there, it cost blood, sweat and tears, but the reward for your effort was to find this beautiful paradise hidden in the mountains of Venezuela.

Ahora me rio de los planes o expectativas que teníamos al principio del paseo, éramos un grupo grande que se fue dividiendo a medida que avanzábamos; el aire en los pulmones escaseaban y el corazón latía tan fuerte que casi sentía que se iba a reventar. Cuando veíamos una bajaba en el camino era como sentir que alguien nos cargaba alzados, el cuerpo respiraba, se relajaba para volver a tomar la siguiente pendiente.

Now I laugh at the plans or expectations we had at the beginning of the trip, we were a large group that was dividing as we advanced; the air in the lungs was scarce and the heart was beating so hard that it almost felt like it was going to burst. When we saw a downhill on the road it was like feeling that someone was carrying us up, the body breathed, relaxed to return to take the next slope.

Unos hablaban de 2 horas de viaje y otras hablaban de 3, yo lo que media era los pasos que ya habíamos dado y de ese tiempo que ellos hablaban solo veía lo mucho que ya habíamos avanzado. El destino final era la Cascada Juan Manuel González, pero no sé si para nuestra suerte el guía se desvió del camino y nos llevó a otro lugar igual de hermoso, refrescante, donde solo se sentía el silencio en armonía con la naturaleza.

Some talked about 2 hours of travel and others talked about 3, what I measured was the steps we had already taken and of the time they talked about I could only see how far we had already advanced. The final destination was the Juan Manuel Gonzalez Waterfall, but I do not know if for our luck the guide deviated from the road and took us to another place just as beautiful, refreshing, where you could only feel the silence in harmony with nature.

Era la cascada Arcoíris, muy linda en verdad, el agua fría donde solo se bañó una señora y todo porque resbalo al querer pasar una piedra y ¡Plum! cayó al agua sin poderlo evitar ¡resultado! un buen chapuzón y un celular mojado.

It was the Arcoíris waterfall, very beautiful indeed, the cold water where only one lady bathed and all because she slipped when she wanted to pass a stone and Plum! she fell into the water without being able to avoid it, the result! a good dip and a wet cell phone.

Si les digo la verdad, después de aquel lugar me sentí como pez en el agua.

Comenzamos a bajar pero no por el mismo lugar que ascendimos sino nos fuimos bordeando el rio para llegar a otras cascadas igual o inclusive más hermosas.

To tell you the truth, after that place I felt like a fish in water.

We began to descend but not by the same place we ascended but we went along the river to reach other waterfalls equally or even more beautiful.

Cascada Paraíso

La cascada paraíso fue la mejor de todas, ahí había mucha gente que había subido por otros caminos, ellos colaban café y otros solo querían tomarse muchas fotos. Por suerte para mí y mis amigas yo me había levantado temprano y había hecho varios sanduches bien sabrosos y también me había llevado un termo lleno de café, así que comimos y nos relajamos un rato.

The paradise waterfall was the best of all, there were many people who had climbed by other paths, they were drinking coffee and others just wanted to take lots of pictures. Luckily for me and my friends I had gotten up early and had made several tasty sandwiches and I had also taken a thermos full of coffee, so we ate and relaxed for a while.

Yo aproveché de bañarme bastante, aunque el agua estaba fría se sentía muy bien en tu cuerpo.

Aquí ya el grupo se comenzó a dividir, muchos estaban agotados y ya se quería ir, otros solo queríamos ir bajando con calma e ir aprovechando de disfrutar cada lugar.

I took the opportunity to bathe a lot, although the water was cold it felt very good on your body.

Here the group began to divide, many were exhausted and wanted to leave, others just wanted to go down calmly and enjoy each place.

Las Madamas

La verdad tenía mucho rato que no sentía esta adrenalina, una emoción que te hace querer más y más, parecía una adolescente de 15 años brincando por encima de esas piedras, mojándome los zapatos entre el rio, arrastrándome para bajar la montaña y no morir en el intento.

Me bañé en cada pozo y cascada que encontré y aunque el camino parecía que nunca iba a terminar pues si, después de 2 horas de descenso todo llegó a su final.

The truth is that I had not felt this adrenaline for a long time, an emotion that makes you want more and more, I felt like a 15 year old teenager jumping over those rocks, getting my shoes wet in the river, crawling down the mountain and not dying in the attempt.

I bathed in every well and waterfall I found and although the road seemed like it would never end, after 2 hours of descent it all came to an end.

En este momento siento un poco de nostalgia, la verdad si quiera volver algún día pero bordeando el rio, por donde subieron aquellas personas que encontré colando su café. O tal vez no suba tan arriba, creo que me quedaría en la cascada “Las Madamas” allí me sentí muy bien, el pozo es grande y si te sientas cerca del chorro te puedes masajear tu espalda con la caída del agua.

At this moment I feel a little nostalgic, the truth is that I would like to go back someday but bordering the river, where those people I found brewing their coffee went up. Or maybe I wouldn't go up that high, I think I would stay at the waterfall "Las Madamas" there I felt very good, the well is big and if you sit near the stream you can massage your back with the falling water.

Yo llegué a casa como a las 5 de la tarde agotada pero feliz. Todos en casa querían saber de mi aventura y luego de un baño y una buena comida les conté como había sido todo. MI esposo me consintió después con un buen masaje por todo mi cuerpo, sobre todo en mis nalgas que quedaron bien golpeadas.

I arrived home at about 5 pm exhausted but happy. Everyone at home wanted to know about my adventure and after a bath and a good meal I told them how it all went. My husband spoiled me afterwards with a good massage all over my body, especially on my buttocks that were well beaten.

                 

Un día más, una aventura más que contar en vida, muchos amigos nuevos que disfrutan del bienestar que produce estar al aire libre, la naturaleza y todo lo que nos rodea.

One more day, one more adventure to tell in life, many new friends who enjoy the well-being that comes from being outdoors, nature and everything that surrounds us.
