Hoy les voy a mostrar como les hice unas fundas a la sillas de la cocina, reciclando una cortina que tenía guardada y no se usaba por estar rota en la parte de abajo.

Today I am going to show you how I made some covers for the kitchen chairs, recycling a curtain that I had saved and was not used because it was torn at the bottom

Y aunque tenía ya tiempo las sillas necesitando un arreglo por todo el borde y cada día se iban desprendiendo y abriéndose por la orilla.

And although the chairs had been needing a fix for a long time along the entire edge and every day they were detaching and opening along the edge.

Ya era hora de hacer algo por lo que decidí primero con una pega " loca" como la llaman por aquí . Se la coloque pie todo el borde, uniendo las partes que estaban despegadas. Pero igual se veía el desgaste.

It was time to do something so I decided first with a "crazy" hit as they call it around here. Place it on the entire edge, joining the parts that were detached. But the wear was still visible.

Tenía que ponerle algo, por lo que decidí hacerle estás fundas. Pero si esperaba a comprar una tela de las que se usa para ese tipo de trabajo, seguro pasaría más tiempo así y se seguirían rompiendo.

I had to put something on it, so I decided to make these covers for it. But if you waited to buy one of those fabrics used for that type of work, you would surely spend more time like this and they would continue to break.

Así que revisé y me encontré con esa cortina, por lo que de inmediato ví que podía reciclar. Lo ví fácil y rápido de hacer, solo medir y cortar los bordes que tenía la cortina en la parte de arriba, solo quitándole los hilos que colgaban y estaban incompleto.

So I checked and I came across that curtain, so I immediately saw that I could recycle it. I found it easy and quick to do, just measure and cut the edges that the curtain had at the top, only removing the threads that dangled and were incomplete.

Aunque se que tengo que hacerles otra fundas o ver cómo se pueden reparar que se vean bien... pero tenía que hacer algo porque sino las pobres se iban a dañar más rápido.

Although I know that I have to make other covers or see how they can be repaired so that they look good... but I had to do something because otherwise the poor ones were going to get damaged faster.

Para hacer esta manualidad utilice los siguientes materiales:

Una cortina, de la cual utilice para el reciclar la parte de arriba, quedándome tela para usarla en otra manualidad.
Tijera, hilo y agujas.
Regla y marcador.

To make this craft use the following materials:

A curtain, of which I used to recycle the upper part, keeping fabric to use it in another craft.

Scissors, thread and needles.

Ruler and marker.

Procedimiento

Procedure

Lo primero que hice fue con un pegamento, unir las partes que estaban despegadas.

The first thing I did was with glue, join the parts that were detached.

Coloque la cortina en la silla, a ver cómo iba hacer la funda. Y me gustó como se veían los bordes que tenía la cortina, solo que había que quitarle los hilos que colgaban, porque no los tenían todos. Pero si dejarle la cinta de raso dónde colgaban los hilos.

Place the curtain on the chair, to see how I was going to make the cover. And I liked how the edges of the curtain looked, only that the threads that dangled had to be removed, because they did not have all of them. But if you leave the satin ribbon where the threads hung.

Teniendo ya la medida de las fundas. Corte y descosí la parte de arriba para darle la vuelta a la tela.
Y así empezar a coser por la parte revés de la tela.

Having already measured the covers. I cut and unstitched the top to turn the fabric inside out.
And so start sewing on the wrong side of the fabric.

Teniendo el corte de la tela, solo había que coser los lados y la parte de arriba. Así como el ruedo o dobles solo por el lado del frente de la funda. Ya que por el lado de atrás quedaba la forma original que traía la cortina.

Having cut the fabric, you only had to sew the sides and the top. As well as the hem or doubles only on the front side of the cover. Since the original shape of the curtain remained on the back side.

Estos trabajos de costura son muy fácil y rápido de hacer, así se cosan a mano...y aunque de ves en cuando nos pinchamos con la aguja 😖 resulta una labor linda de hacer.

These sewing jobs are very easy and quick to do, so they are sewn by hand... and although from time to time we prick ourselves with the needle 😖 it is a nice job to do.

Así como el reciclar, con el cual le podemos dar otro uso y vida a alguna pieza que antes se solía desechar. Y resulta que son muchas las cosas que podemos crear Reciclando.

As well as recycling, with which we can give another use and life to a piece that used to be discarded before. And it turns out that there are many things that we can create by recycling.
