This is my entry to participate in the #friends tag initiative of the #familyandfriends community in which I'm going to tell you 10 special things about this long-lasting friendship whose beginnings were complicated.

One of tennis

Our friendship was forged with racquets. Yes, but not because we were tennis virtuosos.
When I was 5 years old and my friend was 9 years old, I was a very bad kid.
When I went to my grandparents' house and Eduardo came over to play with me, for some reason I always ended up fighting with him and I remember my bad behaviour by hitting him with a racket or two.
In spite of everything, he never hit me and always forgave me.
Over the years I improved my behaviour a lot and everything was much better for both of us. Especially for him.

An advocate at recess

When I moved to the village where Eduardo lived and started school, the beginning was complicated because of some bulling I suffered.

Eduardo was a real saviour for me at that time because he was an older boy who stood up for me in some of the recesses so that the bulling didn't go any further, so he was a saviour for me.

My first time partying at night

I remember that when I was 16 years old I had never gone out at night to have fun unlike other kids my age.

Thanks to Eduardo and how responsible I was at 20 years old, my parents allowed me to go out partying with him and he opened up a world that every teenager loves to enjoy.

Psychological support

8 years ago my father passed away. Eduardo and other friends were always there for me during the difficult times I had during my father's illness and also in the months after his death. This support was a great help to avoid depression.

Dancer

Eduardo took ballroom dancing lessons for years. I remember that on party nights and in discos I learned a lot of dance steps, which allowed me to lose my embarrassment and to meet many special friends through dancing.

Always on holiday

There is no doubt that going on holiday without my friend Eduardo is something that the times I have done it I haven't enjoyed as much as when he is in the group. He is always proactive and doesn't hesitate to want to do any kind of activity. Last holiday we were on a catamaran trip eating mussels and other seafood and playing with the seagulls. He came up with the idea of catching a mussel and I acted as photographer for the last snapshot of the post.

Always a smile

You will see that in the photos he is always smiling.
It is very rare to see him with a bad face despite having problems like everyone else. It's a very positive thing that cheers up the whole group of friends.

Tireless worker

He has been working in a building material warehouse since he was 17 years old. When you are working for the same company in Spain for almost 30 years, it means that you are a good worker and that the company knows that you are a great asset.

I know that his bosses have a similar view to the one I have that this guy is a number one.

An exemplary father

Although he separated from his wife a few years ago, he was able to separate amicably for the common good of their son Victor.

Watching him raise his son with love and righteousness is an inspiring example.

He puts his friends before his own needs.

I know he has often put friendship for me and other friends in our group before his own needs. This is something that only true friends who value friendship above all else do.

Conclusion

Eduardo you are the best friend one can have, or rather you are my brother.
