Puy de fou (Toledo)

I hope you are having a happy week #POF and #Pinmapple.

Last week I was with my colleagues in the city doing a training and also a recreational activity. The venue where we had the meeting was the medieval theme park Puy de Foi whose main theme is medieval history.

After the training day, the company had not organized access to two shows in the park. The first of these consisted of an interpretation of the Cantar del Mío Cid in an auditorium where the seats rotated from stage to stage, which was a very enriching experience.

After the show of the singing of the Cid and before dinner, I spent an hour strolling through the park, where one can enter the medieval era seeing crafts of the area and the time as is the development of swords, various ceramic utensils and also enjoying live music.

After dinner, which was also organized for us in the park, came the highlight of the theme park, which is a game of lights, music, dances and interpretations of fights, where the history of Toledo is reviewed from the early Middle Ages to the present, including the time when Toledo was Muslim, the discovery of America with the unification of the kingdoms of Castile, the French invasion, the civil war, etc..

During one of the battles between the Muslims and the Christians, the tone of all the buildings were illuminated in red as a mourning of all the blood shed in the city by the fierce battles. Because of the great visual impact, I took this photo which in turn serves as my featured photo for this week's POBphotocontest organized by @friendlymoose.

If you happen to be near Toledo or Madrid, I recommend this theme park and especially the night show with the play of lights, sound, interpretation and dance.

Greetings

It's always so cool how they light up complete buildings!
Like they sometimes do with the colours of flags too.
Thanks for joining the #POBPhotocontest!

A pleasure to participate and especially to promote a theme park that I did not know a week ago and I would like that every visitor who is near Toledo comes to know it. They will enjoy it like never before.

Wooow I was in Toledo earlier this year and I loved it, it is a wonderful place with lots of charm, plus the food is excellent, lots of game and lots of flavor, I can't wait to go back.

But I had no idea of this event, I find it fun and curious, especially the impression generated by the play of lights at night, it looks spectacular, and the facade of the walled city is amazing as to use it that way, I have been really surprised.

I'll write it down for a future visit, I have no doubt that you had a great time, I would have liked to know if the menu they offered was also themed hahahahahaha!

Hola amiga,

It's an incredible show. I think they have a similar show in France.
