Art Journal: "A Creepy Forest" | Original Coffee Painting βποΈ
Greetings Hiver friends, How are you doing? A blessed day to everyone. Welcome to my blog! Another coffee art I am going to share with you. I created A forest scene, called A Creepy Forest.
As you walk into the creepy forest, a tremble runs down your spine. Despite the fearfulness, there's a sense of fascination and amazement in the secret and the unknown. The creepy forest may be disturbing, but it's also fascinating, an admonition of the wild. This forest is filled with unusual, unfamiliar smells, Reminding us of uncultivated corners of the world that still exist and have life.
I used three types of painting brushes for this art. It took me an hour to finish this piece.
For those who want to try to paint using this unique medium, you can follow the basic methods below.
Materials Needed:
π Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
π Pencil and Eraser
π Coffee Powder
π 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
π Ruler
π Clean Water
π Rag
π Paper napkin or paper towel
Brushes:
π Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
π Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
π Filbert brush
Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.
Basic Procedure:
β’ Outline or sketch of your painting reference.
β’ Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
β’ On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
β’ The same procedure with the foreground.
β’ Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
β’ Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for thin details.
Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
