Art Journal: Dusk over Still Water โ˜•๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ

Hello, Hiver friends and fellow art lovers! A blissful Sunday to everyone, I hope you are all doing well. I want to share the new coffee painting I finished today.

This coffee landscape depicts the quiet beauty of the dusk, where the calm water reflects the tranquil atmosphere of the sky. The hanging tree branches frame the scene, adding charm to the composition.

I used three painting brushes to complete this piece, which took me an hour. For those interested in trying this unique medium, follow the step-by-step basic methods below.

Basic Procedure:
โ€ข Outline or sketch your painting reference.
โ€ข Paint using a lighter background shade by creating a beautiful texture.
โ€ข On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
โ€ข The same procedure as the foreground.
โ€ข Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
โ€ข Then add details to bring your painting to life. I used a liner brush for the thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
