Greetings Hiver friends, How are you there? Today I decided to paint a sunset view with acrylic medium. This type of subject is interesting to paint. Several famous artists loved to paint the brilliance of the setting sun. In this post, I will share with you how to paint beautiful sunset scenery over the lake.
I used nine sets of colors of acrylic paint and four types of painting brushes. It took me fifty minutes to finish this painting.
Materials Needed:
πŸ‘‰ Acrylic paper pad
πŸ‘‰ Pencil and eraser
πŸ‘‰ Ruler
πŸ‘‰ Clean Water
πŸ‘‰ Rag
πŸ‘‰ Paper napkin

Brushes:
πŸ‘‰ Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
πŸ‘‰ Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
πŸ‘‰ Round Brush #8 / 5/32" / 4.0mm
πŸ‘‰ Filbert brush

Acrylic Paint:
πŸ‘‰ Titanium white
πŸ‘‰ Ultramarine blue
πŸ‘‰ Mars black
πŸ‘‰ Burnt sienna
πŸ‘‰ Grass green
πŸ‘‰ Green mid
πŸ‘‰ Lemon yellow
πŸ‘‰ Yellow ochre
πŸ‘‰ Magenta

Painting Process:Outline the painting reference.

Background \Sky: Ultramarine blue, titanium white, lemon yellow, and orange.
Create some clouds and soft light.

Middle ground:
Distant objects: Blue, orange, and black
Brush: Filbert brush

Foreground:
Closer Trees, Mars black and magenta
Round brush in creating the tree trunks.
Put some highlights of blue, white, and some yellow.
Leaves: Grass green, black, and yellow ochre.
Brush: Filbert brush

For the lake, the same colors as the sky, to stand out the lake I put some reflection on it. Specially the light source should be emphasized. I used a flat brush for this part.

Wooden pathway: Burnt sienna, magenta and black. I used a flat brush and for the sharp line a liner brush.

For extra details, I put water lines, water ripples, and also tree limbs.

This is the finished art.

That's all for today, I hope you enjoyed this post, and thank you for stopping by!
Happy Painting!πŸ˜€and Have a great day.

God bless!
