Art Journal: Semi-Abstract Landscape With Coffee Painting āšļø
Greetings Hiver friends, How are you doing? A blessed day to everyone! Today I decided to paint something different, so I painted a semi-abstract landscape created with coffee.
An abstract landscape is a presentation of a natural scene that is not described in a literal or realistic manner. Rather, it focuses on capturing the importance, and impressions of the landscape through the use of shapes, texture, or forms.
I used three types of painting brushes for this art. It took me just forty minutes to finish this.
For those who want to try to paint using this unique medium, you can follow the basic methods below.
Materials Needed:
š Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
š Pencil and Eraser
š Coffee Powder
š 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
š Ruler
š Clean Water
š Rag
š Paper napkin or paper towel
Brushes:
š Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
š Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
š Filbert brush
Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.
Basic Procedure:
ā¢ Outline or sketch of your painting reference.
ā¢ Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating texture.
ā¢ On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
ā¢ The same procedure with the foreground.
ā¢ Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
