Today, I'm pleased to present a review of one of the most fun and even childlike songs by the Fab Four from Liverpool: "Yellow Submarine." For me, it's a unique song, overflowing with optimism. This track was recorded in May 1966 at EMI Studios in London, credited to Lennon-McCartney, and is part of the revolutionary album "Revolver." The lead vocals are by Richard Starkey, better known as Ringo Starr.

The song was so successful that a little over two years later, they revisited it and developed a script for a film based on it—this time, an animated one. Produced by the famous King Features Syndicate, this company might not be familiar to everyone, but the name Popeye the Sailor might ring a bell. They made a movie, an album, and the Beatles themselves lent their voices to the cartoon's dialogue. It's the fourth film in their career and their first animated feature.

I've always found the way they created the theme song hilarious. The sound effects they used were soap bubbles and straws in buckets of water to make it sound like they were submerged in the sea, along with headset microphones to make it sound like there was a captain on the ship. The first time I heard this song, I didn't realize it was them, as it wasn't their usual style. In fact, when I heard the song at the end, it sounded like a group of friends leaving a party or festival, singing and drinking wine or some other alcoholic beverage—very funny to me, haha.

I should mention that it was also released as a double A-side single, along with the song "Eleanor Rigby," another McCartney track. Both songs are included on the album Revolver and are also part of the soundtrack for the film of the same name, "Yellow Submarine." Over the years, the song has become one of my favorites in my Beatles catalog, and I recommend it to all my friends. Now I'm also sharing it with you in this scrobble.life community, and I recommend it with great affection. If you have the chance to see the film itself, that would be fantastic. You'll find psychedelia and musical experimentation at its peak, and creativity at 100%. Those who participated in the song were Ringo on lead vocals and drums, Paul on bass and backing vocals, John on acoustic guitar and some sound effects and backing vocals, and George on tambourine and backing vocals, all produced by the great George Martin. Friends of the band, such as Geoff Emerick and Mal Evans, also contributed to the sound effects, creating a truly maritime atmosphere.

Children's music and an animated movie—I wasn't aware of that. You are very good at reviewing this group's music. Can I watch this movie with my young children?

@yusmelys Hi darling, it's great to see you here. Well, the movie is a bit psychedelic, you might not understand it at first, but it's very colorful and fun. Big hug, sweetheart.
