I went to fish

Can you imagine going fishing and not catching anything? Well, that's what we did this weekend, but we still had a lot of fun.

This weekend I not only celebrated Mother's Day, but also went fishing.

The guys from the farm invited me on Saturday afternoon to go to one of the many mini lakes that are formed during the rainy season and have some fun with the excuse of fishing, which to tell the truth, did not go very well.

I could not say no, since I love walking and in the countryside, much more. I was photographing everything I found interesting and breathing the rich humid air while eating a tasty mango, yes, all at the same time. 😅

Robe, the skinniest and oldest of the group, went into the lake with his net to try his luck.

We didn't catch anything, but every time Roberto threw the maya it was a spectacle, which I enjoyed very much.

The afternoon was beautiful, and there was a Mockingbird giving its best notes in the top of a tree, making my stay much more pleasant.

This beautiful thing got tangled in the net, but we immediately pulled it out and let it free on the shore, it is a river turtle, here in Cuba we call it Jicotea. It is incredible how many little animals live here or simply come to bathe and drink water.

On the way back home I was surprised by a palm full of thorns that to my surprise its fruits are edible, although I did not dare to try them, it is called Corojo, that's what I was told.

Another thing I really enjoyed were the flowers, blessed month of May, it makes everything greener and prettier, definitely my favorite time of the year.
