PERFECT TIME

I'm so sorry I've not been active here for a while because I was caught up with some school things that I needed to sort out but anyways, I'm back on track and you'll love to read this story I've got here.☺️
Molly had three female friends (Justine, Christine and Percy). They were really close, infact more like sisters. So, among the girls, Christine got engaged. "Wow, babe I'm so happy for you. You must tell me the whole gist of how you said a yes to him" said molly to Christine on the phone, Christine accepted to give her the full gist though. Molly's mom wouldn't just let her end the call, she called to remind Molly that she's turning into 30 without finding a man not to talk of getting married to the man but molly tried to calm her down that she will find herself a man soon.
Molly was surprised by her boyfriend Kaycee on their 4th anniversary in a relationship though. She liked the surprise, but actually thought it was a ring but it wasn't and she just said nothing and accepted the surprise. After then, Kaycee asked Molly of how her 30th birthday will look like but she had no idea and both of them couldn't figure out something good enough. Then after molly might have gone, Kaycee called his friend Andrew, to help him figure out the best gift for molly and Andrew suggested an "engagement ring" which was always what molly craved for but unfortunately, Kaycee told Andrew that he wasn't ready for marriage and hell be ready after 3years. Andrew is like jeez that's too far but kaycee still did not want to talk about marriage, that it wasn't the perfect time yet and so, they thought of a surprise party for molly.
Molly's birthday is here, Kaycee Surprises her when she got back him from work, so tired. Kaycee, Andrew and her three friends planned everything and it went out smoothly. They invited Molly's mom, which she and everyone that was present there thought Kaycee was going to propose when he dipped his hand into his back pocket but hell NO!! Kaycee gave Molly a necklace and even molly was so disappointed that she asked him how long he wants to stay before he's ready and he buoyantly said "babe 2 or 3years",that alone losses up Molly and she ended the relationship though she still had feelings for Kaycee.
After all said and done, Molly and Kaycee happen to meet themselves at an eatery, they play cool and keep a place and time to meet which looked like a reunioun, when Kaycee apologized to molly and she accepted him back. On Kaycee's birthday, Molly got him a surprise cake and even got an engagement ring to propose to Kaycee.
She knelt down, with a one-knee and confessed her love for Kaycee and wanted asking him to stay with her forever, when Andrew gave kaycee a ring, which he helped molly to stand up, and he knelt down and said to molly " please molly, be the woman that'll stay with me forever, the mother to my unborn kids, please be my wife ". Molly couldn't hold back the tears, she let it flow and finally said " yes my love I'll be your wife" and they kissed.

This story deals with several issues, and the reader is interested discovering how the individuals work out their problems. There is a mother, who is pressuring her daughter, and a daughter who feels that by the age of thirty she should be married. And then there is the boyfriend, who does not feel he can commit to marriage. This is a very relatable experience. Many people have been faced with the same issues.
Your story arc is clear, as is the character development. However, near the end, it's not exactly clear where the engagement ring came from. Is this the ring that Molly bought? Or is it a ring that Andrew brought? Of course what matters is the two young adults resolved their conflict.

This is an interesting story. I am very much older than you and yet can remember the pressure many young women had (those many years ago)to get married. Back then, the age was more like 25, or 26. There were phrases passed around such as "left on the shelf", "old maid". All these years later I can see how many of those marriages were not successful. So I read your story with that experience in mind.
You lay out the conflict well. It's interesting that you acknowledge in your story the pressure from Molly's family and friends to take this step. It's also interesting that you give Molly the power to propose. I like that a lot.
This is an especially interesting story for me because it reveals a lot about how young people view marriage today.
