I stumbled across a #hivebusinesscard contest from @acidyo urging users in the blockchain to join in a test running for the @hiveph community, sounds like this is my forte and quite an interesting one so I participated, this post is a response to it.

I searched for a cool dark red background that is visually attractive on pinterest website and I got something nice to start up with the process, immediately after that, I moved it to my favorite editor "Picsart'', rotated it and crop inside at exact length and width of a business card leaving the glowing neon line extracted. For a few minutes, I was staring point blank at my phone screen thinking about how to create a QR code with a link on it, so I surfed the internet.

My search yielded many results, but exploring the rest wasn't a big deal as I landed on one particular site here that revealed to me an easy-peasy way to generate a QR scan code with your preferred links. I also had the option to customize the looks of the QR code to which functions were applied. In the quest to customize the QR code, I downloaded both logos as requested by Acidyo (one for the front and the other for the back) for clear indication.

These two logos were obtained to give meaning to the QR code design preventing it from appearing naked since I had the option to customize it. The @ecency logo that is embedded in the QR code is from @thekittygirl in the #ecencydiscordasset channel and the Discord logo was downloaded from a google search here.

I once entered a contest from @coldbeetrootsoup for the Hive #infographics challenge, and this was my creation below.

I had to crop out the marked area for my headline for this contest. I have the demo version of it though because I do not want to lose the entire process all at once, in case of a crash I can easily go to the demo version and pick my strength back just like the way I had the demo version of this #hivebusinesscard process.

Before making it a demo version, I applied a Hive Logo in png format to the left side and then rotated it, reducing the opacity. I also duplicated the logo and reduced it to the smallest size then dragged it down the right of the card.

In Picsart, I tried to give the demo a different shade darker in appearance by contrasting it but nay, I don't like it even with heart-shaped brushes attached under the Hive logo still I wasn't satisfied with it! Then I switched back to the preferred demo version which was quite smart to me and sharp.

Free Templates On Canva

In canva, I used Open Sans font which comes with a free template. The two oval lines were omitted since they didn't give me a smart look, I dragged the little logo properties which are the location, calls, and site to my preferred position, edited them with Hive wordings, and changed the colors too.

FRONT PAGE

The free template (FrontPage) has a picture and a frame attached to it.
So I replaced it with the registration QR scan code, then also indicated an instruction saying " Scan To Register " which is pretty accessible.

BACK PAGE

In the edited template (Backpage), there is a picture and a frame attached to it, but both were removed, including the two little oval lines.
As for the major oval, I had the option to shape it into a square and it accurately fits the discord QR scan code that I customized. I put up some writings too to nudge subscribers into joining the @hiveph server.
