A Quick Visit, Lasting Memories in Cologne Germany 🇩🇪

Hello again beautiful people of @worldmappin family! 🤗
Our next adventure took us to Cologne, Germany—the final stop on our city tour before heading back home. We explored all these beautiful cities by car, which made the journey even more exciting. Some of you may have already visited Cologne, but for me, it was my first time, and I’m excited to share my experience with you!

When we arrived, we decided to visit a local German restaurant that served Kölsch beer in the traditional Cologne style. Whenever we finished a glass, the server automatically brought us another one! The refills continued until we placed a coaster on top of the glass to show that we had had enough. I found this tradition so cool, fun, and interesting!

After enjoying several glasses of Kölsch, we decided to visit Cologne Cathedral, known in German as the Kölner Dom. According to research, this is a magnificent Gothic cathedral and one of Germany’s most famous landmarks. Its towering spires, beautiful architecture, and impressive history make it a must-see attraction in Cologne. We were not able to go inside since during the time of our visit it is closed. However, we just took countless pictures outside of this Cathedral.

We continued exploring Cologne and walked to the waterfront along the Rhine, where there were many restaurants and a beautiful, relaxing view. We stopped for a quick bite at one of the restaurants. We ordered Wurstsalat and two glasses of beer. My husband said it was the best Wurstsalat he ever had. Afterwards, we bought some beer and found a nice place to sit, relax, and enjoy both our drinks and the lovely scenery.

We bought another bottle of the local beer, Früh Kölsch. Since it was the last day of our city tour, we wanted to make the most of every moment and enjoy our time together.

The next day, we visited my husband’s cousin. We went to a park near their house and had some ice cream, which was perfect for the hot weather. Later, we found a beer garden and enjoyed a couple of drinks. However, after a few minutes, the sky suddenly grew dark and it started to rain. We quickly ran back to their house and then booked an Uber to another bar, where we enjoyed a few more drinks before returning to our hotel.
We only spent about two days in Cologne, but we truly enjoyed our quick trip and the time we shared together. Hopefully, our next visit will be longer, as there are still many places we weren’t able to explore.

I can’t wait to take you along on our next adventure and show you more of the beautiful cities Germany has to offer.

Until next time!
