When Divine Justice befalls those who harm others

It is worth noting that when I was young, human rights were also being violated in my country; it was claimed that there was democracy, but this was a lie, as there were things happening that were illegal, yet they were carried out by the security forces, just as is the case today. I remember one occasion when I was studying computer science; at that time, you had to obtain a card identifying you as a student in order to be exempt from compulsory military service.

Likewise, as the day of military conscription drew near – since there were young men who weren’t turning up and they needed a large number of recruits – they carried out raids in the villages, taking young men away as if they were being kidnapped and forcing them to enlist. I remember they took me because my ID card wasn’t up to date, but as my father had a friend who was a colonel, he helped him and I managed to get out. All this happened because of a military officer to whom my father had once refused to give money as a sort of bribe, as he has never broken the law.

I really wanted to take revenge for what he’d done to me, but my father told me, ‘Let’s leave that to God.’ Eventually, he was arrested in Fragancia whilst trying to extort money from someone in exchange for letting them go. It turned out that this person was a high-ranking military officer who was working undercover to uncover corruption. He was imprisoned, and in this way justice was done.

To conclude, it’s best not to treat other people badly, and if something happens to you, it’s best to leave it to God to mete out justice; everything will sort itself out in the end.
I hope you liked it, see you in a next post.
