Leo Engagement: I Just Passed 6560 Comments (Am I Wasting My Time?)

I rarely look into my own stats, especially on Hive. Leo's my game and the frontend I use exclusively. (except for this week's @actifit 100% Voting Week where I give out 100% Votes) But I earned another Hive Buzz Badge so I decided to check things out.

I know I engage a lot so passing 6560 comments didn't surprise me, but earning 6700 Hive power did. That's a pretty remarkable number and I'm sure most was earned through Leofinance and the @leo.voter .

What did surprise me is that I've only earned 300 Hive through curation. I realize that I only have 650 HP right now but there were times I had over 5,000. I don't curate to earn per se but that number disappointed me because I throw out votes willy nilly all over the place so I expected a little more.

But I'm looking at 7000 Hive earnings and that's not bad. Most of that has been spent incorrectly on Leo, Cub & Poly but I'm not complaining. Those all have bright futures and I can always earn more through posting, curating and engagement.

My question is though, have I been wasting my time curating? Or better yet, how do I do it more efficiently? I certainly want to encourage content creator with my vote but how much does my vote need to be in order to be meaningful to them? And is there a way to autovote better than I do it manually to earn more?

I'd love to hear from you in the comments on the subject. Have you ever checked your own hive buzz rankings?

Progress is Progress. Curation is the best way of making friends and curators. Keep on going!

Engagement is the best way to grow on this platform. Finding community and getting conversation going has kept me going. I know high earners get value from their monetary gain on the post, but to see no engagement is disappointing because that means they are just getting the same auto votes.

I kinda struggle with that too. wither that money is better to sit in HBD saving, or BXT / liquidity pools on bee-swap.. but I actually think HP is one of the most important things so I settle on the fact that curating isnt a waste of time.. cos your also discovering content, seeing new things and meeting new people.

Engagement is way better but I think it's probably because of the posts. I know that posts tend to be more rewarding and when you engage, you tend to make way more friends. In a way, I consider my curation rewards more of a bonus.
