Greetings my friends! Today I bring a beautiful mosaic style mural that I really liked. I was able to see it on my last visit to Havana a few months ago and I would like to share it with you.

The Havana Mosaic , it is located no less than in front of the Malecón, next to the Hotel Nacional de Habana. What I loved the most about this mural is what it represents for the Cuban people since it shows us 2 great icons of the island such as La Giraldilla and El Morro.

On the one hand the Giraldilla, in a small weathervane shaped statue that represents a love story of a wife who had to say goodbye to her beloved husband and spent the rest of her life at the top of that tower waiting for the ship that would return her to the love of her life, and from here is born this beautiful tribute to an infinite love. The Giraldilla is located at the top of the Castillo de la Fuerza.

The other half of the mosaic represents the Castillo de los Tres Reyes del Morro, which is a great fortress guarding the bay of Havana.

In the mosaic mural we can observe some emblematic things such as the round grilles of Havana's houses and the balconies of Old Havana.

Personally, I could say that the mural encompasses everything that is Havana and being located in front of the Malecon gives it a great cultural value.

Unfortunately it is not signed and I could not find information about who made this beauty of street art. But it certainly has my respects for such a creative design.

Mosaico Habana

¡Saludos amigos míos! Hoy les traigo un precioso mural estilo mosaico que me ha gustado mucho. Pude verlo en mi última visita a La Habana hace unos meses y me gustaría compartirlo con ustedes.

El Mosaico de La Habana , se encuentra nada menos, que frente al Malecón, al lado del Hotel Nacional de la Habana. Lo que más me ha gustado de este mural es lo que representa para el pueblo cubano ya que nos muestra 2 grandes iconos de la isla como son La Giraldilla y El Morro.

Por un lado la Giraldilla, en una pequeña estatua en forma de veleta que representa una historia de amor de una esposa que tuvo que despedirse de su amado esposo y pasó el resto de su vida en lo alto de esa torre esperando el barco que le devolviera al amor de su vida, y de aquí nace este hermoso homenaje a un amor infinito. La Giraldilla se encuentra en la cima del Castillo de la Fuerza.

La otra mitad del mosaico representa el Castillo de los Tres Reyes del Morro, que es una gran fortaleza que vigila la bahía de La Habana.

En el mural de mosaico podemos observar algunas cosas emblemáticas como las rejas redondas de las casas de La Habana y los balcones de La Habana Vieja.

Personalmente, podría decir que el mural engloba todo lo que es La Habana y el hecho de estar ubicado frente al Malecón le da un gran valor cultural.

Lamentablemente no está firmado y no pude encontrar información sobre quién hizo esta belleza de arte callejero. Pero sin duda tiene mis respetos por tan creativo diseño.

Hola que fotos tan bonitas compartiste, no he viajado nunca a ese pais, pero el mura esta muy bonito se ve conservado, los significados de sus obras están muy bien pienso como tú que allí debe estar representado, lo que es el país como tal, lástima no supiste quién fue el creador hubiese sido un homenaje aún más bonito que se supiera quien es el creador de tan bonita obra de arte.
