I woke up by inertia, the alarm didn't go off because the electrical service had been interrupted and the alarm clock was off. I sighed as I sat up in bed and got the feeling that I was forgetting something important. But I looked at the clock in the hallway and saw that it was 7 am.

I rushed up. I didn't have much time and I had to get ready for work.

My daily routine starts with an espresso. Without that I don't work. So I stopped by the kitchen to activate the coffee maker and find that the coffee pot was empty.

I have no reserve in the pantry because my sister stopped by a few days ago to visit me and commented that her coffee was running low, how we spent time talking and hanging out together, she went home at night and all the stores were already closed. So I gave her my reservation and agreed to stop by the supermarket. I never went.

Now I'm in the middle of cooking, it's 7:15 am and the store doesn't open until 8:30 am. There's no way I'm going to have time to buy coffee, come home and get to work on time.

So my mind kicked in and I came up with an idea, but I had to run or I wouldn't make it in time, since it was 7:20 a.m. How time loves to fly when we're behind schedule!

I rushed into the bathroom, as the electric service was interrupted I had to take a shower with ice water. I got out, put on my most comfortable dress and started to put on my make-up.

At that moment the power was restored. I went into the kitchen and the clock read 7:45 am. I boiled a cup of water and put it in my thermos jug. I said a prayer for the genius who invented this marvel.

I rushed out as I put on my makeup in the elevator. It seemed like everyone wanted to get out today at the same time because there was no more room in that tiny space in the elevator. I got out as best I could from the crowd and when I stood in front of the building I looked at my watch and it was 7:53 am.

I remembered that Mrs. Yuank's store opens at 8:00 am, but it is 3 blocks away from my work. I ran and borrowed the bike from the neighbor in the apartment below, she is 12 years old, so she could help me. kids these days! She told me to give her a bill to lend it to me. I told myself I only had a few coins and a discount coupon at the ice cream store. He smiled ghoulishly and took everything out of my hand. He left happily as I ran down the street, running through traffic lights and dodging pardon me.

I arrived at the store and the clock on the cash register read 8:05 am and I bought the coffee and a chocolate bar to have that delicious mixture that I love. I paid and Mrs. Yuank started asking me about the cat, about the dog and I dodging her words, I could get rid of her, but it was 8:10 am.

I kept running on my bike, I had to ride 4 streets in 5 minutes, so I pedaled like never before.

I arrived at the office. I ran up the stairs with the neighbor's bike carried on my shoulders and finally put both feet in the entrance hallway when my watch struck 8:15 am.

Right on time! - I said to myself as I smiled.
