Greetings to all! I'm stopping by today to briefly share how I do my grain and nut shopping. Let's go shopping!

I tell you that the store where I get my bulk supplies is a small business located in the same market where I buy my vegetables and fruits. The lady who attends is a naturopath and everything she consumes comes from nature so whenever I can go to buy grains and nuts we spend a good time talking and exchanging recipes for natural remedies and how to take advantage of the nutrients that nature gives us.

I have been shopping in this store for several months now and I consider it ideal for me. I feel so comfortable that the lady gave me her phone number and when I can not go to the place, as this time I had to send my husband to pick up the purchases because I felt sick, I just make a call to Mrs. Berta and she takes the order, then tells me how much I have to pay and by a bank transfer I make the payment. I send her the payment receipt to her phone and she sends me the purchases and invoices me for everything I need. The next day my husband comes by the store to pick up the purchases.

Les cuento que en la tienda donde los suministros a granel es un pequeño negocio ubicado en el mismo mercado donde compro las verduras y frutas. La señora que atiende es naturista y todo lo que consume proviene de la naturaleza así que siempre que puedo ir de a comprar los granos y los frutos secos pasamos un buen rato hablando e intercambiando recetas de remedios naturales y cómo aprovechar los nutrientes que nos aporta la naturaleza.

Ya tengo varios meses de estar comprando en esta tienda que la considero ideal para mí. Me siento tan a gusto que la señora me dio su número de teléfono y cuando no puedo ir hasta el lugar, como en esta oportunidad que tuve que enviar a mi esposo a recoger las compras porque me sentía mal, solamente hago una llamada a la señora Berta y ella toma el pedido, luego me dice cuál es el monto que debo pagar y por una transferencia bancaria hago el pago. Le envío el comprobante de pago a su teléfono y ella me despacha las compras y me factura todo lo que necesito. Al día siguiente mi esposo pasa por el negocio a retirar las compras.

This time my purchases focused on chickpeas. I wanted to buy them to get the aquafaba and be able to prepare delicious desserts for my family and especially the traditional suspiros of my country, since I was researching and chickpeas are ideal for these desserts.

Esta vez mis compras estaban enfocadas en los garbanzos. Quería comprarlos para obtener la aquafaba y poder preparar ricos postres para mi familia y especialmente los suspiros tradicionales de mi país, ya que estuve investigando y el garbanzo es ideal para estos postres.

Taking advantage of the fact that the purchase would last about 15 days, I bought several things. Among them green peas, which I like to prepare in croquettes and stews. I didn't need the other beans since I had a stock of lentils and red and black beans at home.

Aprovechando que la compra sería para unos 15 días aproximadamente, compré varias cosas. Entre ellas arvejas verdes que me gustan para preparar las en croquetas y guisadas. Los demás granos no me hacían falta ya que tenía en casa reserva de lentejas y frijoles tanto rojos como negros.

I also bought the nuts, roasted peanuts, which I love to snack on and eat while enjoying a good movie and raisins, to make a contrast of flavors.

También compré los frutos secos, maní tostado, que me encanta para merendar y comer mientras disfruto de una buena película y uvas pasas, para hacer un contraste de sabores.

The lady let me know when we spoke on the phone that she had quinoa, last month when I did my shopping she did not have this cereal and told me she had ordered it but the order was delayed. I had never purchased this cereal and I have many recipes I would like to prepare to enjoy it. So I bought it along with flaxseed and almonds.

La señora me hizo saber cuando hablamos por teléfono, que tenía quinua, el mes pasado cuando hice mis compras ella no tenía este cereal y me dijo que lo había encargado pero se demoraba el pedido. Yo nunca había comprado este cereal y tengo muchas recetas que me gustaría preparar para disfrutarlo. Así que compré junto con linaza y almendras.

My husband came home with my complete list:

250 grams of green peas
250 grams of chickpeas
250 grams of flaxseed
250 grams of raisins
100 almond kernels
1 ginger
400 grams of peanuts
250 grams of quinoa

For a total of 7$. I hope to be able to prepare recipes soon with all my products that have just arrived home. I was happy to share how I shop for grains and nuts. I hope next time I pick up the groceries I can take a picture with Mrs. Berta and show them to her.
