Greetings to all travelers around the world! Today I am pleased to share a wonderful trip we took as a family to the Parque Nacional Warairarepano.

Saludos a todos los viajeros por el mundo! Hoy me complace compartir un maravilloso paseo que hicimos en familia al Parque Nacional Warairarepano.

When I arrived in Venezuela after 5 years away, the first thing I did was to visit the Warairarepano, an imposing mountain that guards the Venezuelan capital. Before leaving the country, I went with my mom, so we have taken it as a ritual of farewell and welcome to our country.

Cuando llegué a Venezuela después de 5 años fuera, lo primero que hice fue visitar el Warairarepano, una imponente montaña que custodia la capital venezolana. Antes de salir de país, fui con mi mamá, así que lo hemos tomado como un ritual de despedida y de bienvenida a nuestro país.

First we arrived at the cable car station. The ticket to go up is currently $7.00 per person. We were given a cabin and our adventure began.

Primero llegamos a la estación del teleférico. El boleto para subir actualmente es de 7$ por persona. Nos dieron una cabina y comenzó nuestra aventura.

In the transparent cabins you can enjoy the incredible scenery: the beautiful city of Caracas that is left behind and the mountain that is the great lung of the Venezuelan capital. It is a great tour that the whole family can enjoy.

El las cabinas transparentes se puede disfrutar el increíble paisaje: la bella ciudad de Caracas que se queda atrás y la montaña que es el gran pulmón de la capital venezolana. Es un recorrido estupendo que sin duda disfruta toda la familia.

When we get to the top of the mountain we can appreciate the beautiful view of the valley, the sky and the Caribbean Sea merge on the horizon and the cold mountain climate is revitalizing. I love the combination of all these beautiful things that make me feel at home.

Al llegar a la cima de la montaña podemos apreciar la bella vista del valle, se funden el cielo y el mar Caribe en el horizonte y el clima frío de montaña es revitalizante. Me encanta la combinación de todas estas cosas hermosas que me hacen sentir en casa.

We walked along the stone paths, with a little effort because despite being a sunny day it was very cold and the altitude made it difficult to walk faster, so we slowly advanced until we reached the viewpoint with the huge flag of Venezuela waving at the top of the mountain.

Recorrimos las caminos de piedra,con un poco de esfuerzo ya que a pesar de ser un día soleado hacía mucho frío y la altura hacia que se dificultara caminar más rápido, por lo que lentamente avanzamos hasta llegar al mirador con la enorme bandera de Venezuela ondeando en lo más alto de la montaña.

Being more than 2000 meters above sea level and being able to enjoy these beautiful views is a unique experience that is certainly to be enjoyed with the family.

Estar a más de 2000 metros sobre el nivel del mar y poder disfrutar de estas hermosas vistas es una experiencia única que sin duda es para comprartir en familia.

I dreamed many times of arriving in my country and the family reunion, but to live it and think that it was no longer a dream but reality and with this beautiful unforgettable trip was a very special moment for me.

Soñé muchas veces con llegar a mi país y con el reencuentro familiar, pero vivirlo y pensar que ya no era un sueño sino la realidad y con este hermoso paseo inolvidable fue un momento muy especial para mí.

We said goodbye to the mountain with nostalgia and with the promise of returning soon to welcome the rest of the family that is about to arrive in Venezuela.

Nos despedimos de la montaña con nostalgia y con la promesa de volver pronto a recibir al resto de la familia que esta por llegar a Venezuela.
