Beer Saturday: The bill, please! [ENG/ESP]

Greetings beer-lovers! / ¡Saludos amantes de la cerveza!

In the last few days, the weather is very crazy. The temperature changes suddenly. You can wake up on a rainy and cold day with 15ªC, and within hours it is 30ªC.

Believe it or not, in mountain climates, the midday sun is very strong, sometimes you should even use sunscreen. But to combat a hot day it is always good to do it with a beer.

En los últimos días el clima está muy loco. La temperatura cambia repentinamente. Puedes amanecer con un día lluvioso y frío con 15ªC y a las horas estar a 30ªC.


Aunque no lo creas en los climas montañosos el sol del mediodía es muy fuerte incluso debes usar protector solar. Pero para combatir un día caluroso siempre es bueno hacerlo con una cerveza.

The plans for the weekend were to have lunch out. On weekends I like to be relaxed and do something different, so we went to a restaurant that prepares the best chicken popcorn in the world. They serve you a platter full of these delicacies, and while you talk and drink a few beers, you devour all the food without even realizing it.

Los planes para el fin de semana eran almorzar fuera de casa. Los fines de semanas me gusta estar relajada y hacer algo diferente por eso nos fuimos a un restaurante que prepara los mejores chicken popcorn del mundo. Te sirven una fuente repleta de estas delicias y mientras hablas y bebes unas cervezas, devoras toda la comida sin darte cuenta.

The restaurant had my favorite beer, but I wanted to risk trying a new one, so we asked the waiter to bring us some "Belga Star".

As usual, the drink always arrives before the food. In case you didn't know, it's a technique to encourage more drink consumption in a place 🤣🤣🤣🤣 and keep the customer entertained while waiting for their food, but on a hot day this one is appreciated.

En el restaurante tenían mi cerveza favorita pero quise arriesgarme a probar una nueva, así que le solicitamos al mesonero que nos trajera unas "Belga Star".


Como es costumbre, la bebida llega siempre primero que la comida. Por si no lo sabías es una técnica de impulsar en un local un mayor consumo de bebidas 🤣🤣🤣 y mantener entretenido al cliente mientras espera su comida, pero en un día caluroso esto se agradece.

"Belga Star" is a lager blonde beer refreshing. Its taste is slightly bitter. It is a beer made in Spain, a very good choice for when you go for "tapas" as it has 4.9 ABV, at least that's what the label says because when I finished the second beer, I felt its effects on me. Good thing it was not my turn to drive back home 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I thought my stay at the restaurant was going to be longer, but as soon as I finished eating I had no choice but to say: the bill, please!

"Belga Star" es una cerveza rubia lager muy refrescante, su sabor es ligeramente amargo. Es una cerveza fabricada en España, una muy buena opcicón para cuando vas de "tapas" ya que tiene 4,9 ABV, al menos eso dice la etiqueta porque al terminar la segunda cerveza sentí los efectos en mí. Menos mal que no me tocaba manejar de regreso a casa 🤣🤣🤣. Yo pensaba que mi estancia en el restaurante iba a ser más prolongada pero apenas terminé de comer no me quedó más que decir: ¡la cuenta, por favor!

I don't know if I'm losing tolerance to beers since I'm on a healthy eating kick, but I'll still try this beer again and see what it's all about. My palate is still left with the unknown to appreciate this beer. I'll give it a second chance as long as it doesn't give me a hangover 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

No sé si estoy perdiendo tolerancia a las cervezas ya que ando en una onda de comer sano, pero de igual forma intentaré otra vez entrarle a esta cerveza a ver de qué va. Mi paladar quedó aún con la incógnita para valorar bien esta cerveza, le daré una segunda oportunidad siempre y cuando no me cause resaca 🤣🤣🤣
