Tengan un saludo cariñoso, amigos que visitan la comunidad Holos & Lotus, traigo para ustedes la iniciativa No. 11. Como estamos en el mes de las madres y son estas las que han sembrado: juicios, modos de ser, normas, comportamientos y más, está dirigida a ellas.

Aclaro: ya las honramos en diferentes posts e iniciativas, las enaltecimos y mostramos todo el agradecimiento por ese ser que nos dio la vida; somos lo que somos por ese legado recibido, algunas han tenido que recibir terapias para sanar y aprender a vivir de otra manera; pero de eso tampoco se trata: venimos a mostrar esas curiosidades, ocurrencias, modos de ser, que nos llevan a decir: «esto solo pudo haberlo hecho mi mamá», «tenía que ser ella», «tan típico de...» y otras expresiones similares, que nos llevan a decir: «Madre solo hay una»

Porque es que madre que se respeta impone su marca, un modo, un comportamiento y esa puede ser: nuestra abuela, tía, suegra, vecina, amiga, mamá o nosotras mismas cuando tenemos ese rol. A veces reímos con ese recuerdo de lo que hicimos o vimos hacer; pero también podemos asombrarnos de esa astucia, creatividad y magia que tuvo nuestra madre para hacernos comer la sopa o quitarnos de la cabeza a un noviecito que no convenía.

En Esa Vida Nuestra queremos anécdotas, hechos reales. Les cuento algunas de las mías como madre:

Estaba mi hija mayor comenzando el preescolar, cuando una tarde la llama por teléfono una compañera de clases. Atiendo la llamada y me intriga: ¿Para qué la habrá llamado esa amiga? Le aviso a mi hija de la llamada y me apresuro a entrar a mi cuarto donde yo tenía un auxiliar, no dudé en levantar la bocina para escuchar la conversación. Sí, vean ustedes mi comportamiento de intromisión, curiosidad y más.

Ese día, yo había ido en la mañana a la escuela de mi hija. En la conversación escucho que la niña pregunta con su menuda voz: «¿Esa era tu mamá?». Mi hija le dice que sí y la niña responde: «Una guará de cachetes». Inmediatamente coloqué el auricular en el teléfono, me quedé perpleja, yo había tenido prominentes mejillas en la infancia, pero que a esa edad adulta, a una niña le hubiera llamado la atención mis cachetes era inaudito. Me reí mucho de eso y les aseguro que nunca más hurgué en una conversación de ella con sus amigas.

Ella le tiene fobia a las ranas, en una oportunidad, en una planta, vi una diminuta muy linda, y no dudé en agarrarla para mostrársela, (a ver si la belleza de la rana le quitaba la fobia), pero mi hija dormía, entonces la metí en una caja de fósforo, para que cuando ella se levantara y fuera a encender la cocina se encontrara con el animalito. «Ay qué ver mamá, esta fuiste tú». No se le pasó la fobia, pero tampoco le produjo gran susto y hasta olvidó el incidente porque se lo mencioné recientemente y no recuerda nada de eso.

A mí no me gustaban las ranas, les tenía asco, la idea de que alguna saltara y me cayera encima, me era repugnante, pero en una oportunidad veo a mi segundo hijo con la boca abierta y los brazos levantados y no le salía el llanto ni el grito, era que tenía una inmensa rana gris y verdosa posada en su brazo, de una sola vez la agarré y la lancé muy lejos y eso me mostró que la maternidad nos lleva a hacer lo inimaginable.

Anécdotas, vengan todas a llenar este espacio de bienestar y relax, que es la iniciativa «Esa Vida Nuestra». El lugar para reflexionar en torno a esas emociones que vivimos, nos fortalecen y muestran cómo somos, en aras siempre de encontrar el equilibrio.

Sometimes we laugh at the memory of what we did or saw ourselves doing; but we can also be amazed at the cunning, creativity and magic that our mother had to make us eat the soup or get rid of a boyfriend who was not convenient.

In Esa Vida Nuestra we want anecdotes, real facts. I will tell you some of mine as a mother:

My oldest daughter was starting preschool, when one afternoon a classmate called her on the phone. I answer the call and I am intrigued: Why did that friend call her? I tell my daughter about the call and rush into my room where I have an assistant, I don't hesitate to pick up the speaker to listen to the conversation. *Yes, look at my intrusive behavior, curiosity and more.

That day, I had gone to my daughter's school in the morning. In the conversation I hear the little girl ask in her tiny voice, "Was that your mom?". My daughter says yes and the girl replies, "A cheeks guará". I immediately placed the handset on the phone, I was perplexed, I had had prominent cheeks in childhood, but that at that adult age, a little girl had been struck by my cheeks was unheard of.
