It's Normal, Its The New Normal - Normies Are Living In Denial

avatar

Hey Jessceptics

We live in a world that is in a constant state of flux, but we refuse to accept it, the reason I tend to gravitate to crypto is that it mirrors that state of change and is a little more honest when it comes to other markets. Yes, things are overvalued, pumped and dumped, but it shows whats going on in the market, people are manipulating it in specific ways and its evident for all to see.

However, people don't like uncertainty and refuse to come to grips with it; we want a sense of structure and formats even if its a lie. We will fight to uphold it and protect it at all costs. This is true of the government; this is true of finances; this is true of business, relationships, religion and much more.

We are willing to sacrifice just about anything for a shred of certainty.

Oh that's normal

I've always hated that phrase; it's so dismissive and arbitrary if enough people agree to do the same thing, it becomes normal even if it is insanity. If I walked around with my dick chopped off and hung around my neck in a plastic bottle, people would think I'm psychotic. If a few million do it, oh that's normal, numbers tend to drown out psychosis.

Crazy can't be crazy when it's in mass numbers; people think oh if everyone is doing it, even if it's bad for them, it must be okay for me to do it. Normies aren't thinkers they accept the narrative, we all a normie in some way shape or form and need to deprogram. The problem with mass think is that it sets us up for a single point of failure.

Just like we need different money, companies we also need different ways of doing things and ways of thinking. This creates a dynamic and robust economy/world, and while it won't remove uncertainty, it will deal with it a lot better than a monolith of people all huddling int heir safe space of conformity.

Leading normies to the slaughter

Unfortunately, history tends to show us that accepting the narrative only puts you in a line to the slaughter. It's those who took the risk, made things happen, diverted off the path that changed things not only for themselves but for the world.

If you look around a room and there are few people in it, you're probably in the right room. The modern human doesn't find safety in numbers, it finds it in deviating from the herd.

I'm not saying we should all take risks and do crazy things, I'm just saying, perhaps more of us need to stop and think about what's considered normal. Consider if its right for you as an individual, and if its not, get rid of it.

Working for a company seemed abnormal to me, so I left. Fiat moneys seemed abnormal to me, so I left. Traditional social media seemed abnormal to me, so I left.

Isn't it time you start thinking about leaving some of that "normal" behind in your own life?

Recently I have been getting text messages telling me I have been too quiet, I have changed, I get so brief with my chats I just want to get going. I have been termed weird at some point.
The point is those "normal" stuff tends to be abnormal to me, and yes when we are all agreeing on same thing with no objection it is time to stop and check if something is wrong.

Change is a dreaded thing we tend not to accept at first but giving change a chance opens open a broader dimension and most cases better opportunities for us.

I get that too, but I see that as curiosity, people think what is this guy put to that his putting his time into something that is not the same that I am doing and people kinda fomo. Putting in the work to develop yourself and your life doesn't come from sitting around doing the same things and expecting a different result.

I am happy to be "abnormal". Totally, look at the change we've experienced now but because we so stuck in our ways its been an absolute disaster, the ones that fair best are the ones that are willing to adapt to any situation.

I agree with this. I dislike the phrase too. It's normal, everybody does it, why won't you conform? Building a large circle around you doesn't mean it's the right path. Actually I think that genuine connection and friendship are scarce so the smaller the circle the better. I would rather have fewer quality friends than a bunch of people who would go back and forth depending on how it suits them. Let me tell you a quote I loved :A friend to all is a friend to none. I never trust people who smile and talk behind people's back and then come and smile at me.

We should take time to analyse daily what we have done, our choices and the way we look at things. It is actually necessary on order to clean up any bulk that might have infiltrated in our life.

I agree quality over quantity and I’m rather snobbish about it so people tend to not like me also I don’t have a filter so I say things that offend people but this person was speaking to me and I was like I am sorry but you have said nothing of substance to me since this conversation began so I’d like to stop it here lol I suck at people’ing

But it’s the same with any bond we fabricate it could be family it could be those in your religion we find things in those groups that aren’t beneficial but because it’s normal they keep doing it! Let’s say you’re a family of smokers we all know it’s bad for you but because the family does it it’s okay now it’s normal

The human mind can easily corrupt itself so it’s important to constantly review it

I can understand what you're saying. I also dislike small talk, I prefer meaningful conversations and discussions about ideas. People who gossip and talk bad constantly about others are never a good company for growing as a person.

What is normal?

You are perfectly true. I totally agree and don't like this functional system to follow the mass and act like everyone does.

I love to take risks and I realized that they always reach me to another level of my life. So I continue even sometimes is not too easy.

Is also good to go out of our space and even with no confidence to try always in every side of the life.

Have a good weekend my friend, big hugs :)

Absolutely, you're going to be judged either way so why not just do what you feel is right, life is yours to make of it so why waste it living it the way others do, they can do that, we can do something different.

I don't take comfort in whats normal, I take comfort in progress, and that's what I want for myself and for everyone I deal with
