INTRO

Whatsup Guys, welcome to another Splinterlands Share Your Battle Challenge(SYBC) which I'm Super Excited about, Maybe Because I Had a Lot of Fun Battling OR Because I also Found Out a Superhero Monster with a Killer Strategy.

The Weekly SYBC gives Splinterlands Players the Chance to Share one of Our Favourite Battle with Everyone, You can Access the Competition Here, and Get Started with the Guidelines.

This Week's Theme Monster is Molten Ask Golem, So Let's Check Out how these Battles went for me, Something Sweet is Cooking Below!

Last Week was Tough

Say, Wasn't Last Week Tough for You Guys? - I mean my goal is to try to Learn about new Splinterlands monsters From SYBC, But Sometimes You get paired with a Monster you don't sync with, AND You're Forced to Look Elsewhere, which was the case for me Last Week!

I found the Theme Monster from Last WeekGEM METEOR to be bearably tough to Use;

Because of - His Poor Stat in Ranged Attack
Furthermore - He's a Neutral Splinter which didn't fit into my Battle
Lastly - His Special Ability Scatterplot didn't work

This was my first time using Gem Meteor so I was Bumped!

But Hear Me, Why are we even talking about Last Week's Battle?

Well This is WHYThis Week's Battle Was Also Tough

I Can Hear You Saying; Again Chel? 🙄

Let's Get Down to the Details:

We All Love to Win, But what happens when you get paired with a Monster that Doesn't Win (But Wins Only Randomly), You Switch Gears!.

Welcome to This Week's Theme Monster: MOLTEN ASH GOLEM - A Fire Elemental Monster that comes with 6 Mana Cost, +9 Chunky Health, + 1 Ranged Attack, and +1 Speed.

Molten_Ash_Golem.png

What this Monster Loses in Speed, he Makes up for it in Health. But I found out that - This Doesn't help both our situations.
His health gets depleted fast, coupled with Him Missing a Few Hits because of +1 Speed - I End up in the Loser Pile.

The Fire Splinter Has Base Summoners Pyre and Tarsa available to all players, these Summoners Supplies Monsters with (+1 Speed) AND (+1 Melee Attack, +1 Health) Respectively.

Using Either of these Summorners with Molten Ash Golem Doesn't Improve his Advantage, that is, I would get nowhere with +1 Health, Or +1 Speed, Instead what I needed was Extra Ranged Attack

In my Molten Rage, I Discovered a Super Hero Monster

Remember when I Said - You Should Switch Gears to the Monster that wins your Matches? Well, this is what I meant.

In my Rage / Boredom Towards Molten Ash Golem, I Played a Few Matches Randomly and Discovered a Total Badass Earth Monster.

REGAL PREYTON

In My Current Excitement - I'm Convinced that this is Among the Top 50 Monsters in Splinterlands Calculated by Win Rate, AND Individual Kills

Win Rate - How Often You Win a Battle When this Monster is Placed in a Team
Individual Kills - How Many Enemy Monsters, are Eliminated Solely from Regal Peryton Efforts

I Played two Whole Battles that Left me Convinced, Two Totally Random Matches with No Propir Expectations of Victory, Against Two Challenging Life Elemental Lineups.

BATTLE 1

Comments : Regal Peryton Single-Handedly Defeats Three Monster(At Full Health) from the Opposing Team While Making more than 6 Dodges.

BATTLE 2

Comments: Again Single-Handedly, Regal Peryton Defeats 4 Wholesome Monsters from the Opposing Team, Making about 5 Dodges (Including x2 Attack from a Double-Strike Life Monster), While on Just ONE Health, Even With Reduced Speed. How Marvellous!

These Are the Battles I'm now Gonna Share with You

Battle 1

Battle Details: In my First Battle with Regal Peryton, I Battled against a Life Elemental Team in a Mana Cap Battle of 17. Because of the Low Mana Cap, I Decided to go with the Earth Splinter.
From my Last Post where I Shared about Cards to Purchase for Splinterlands Bronze Leagues, I also learned that Earth Teams perform well in Low Mana Battles, so this Guided my Choice.
Surprisingly, I Chose Regal Peryton as the Tank Monster. Yeah, I was Bored and Looking for Fun.

Battle Lineup: My Battle Lineup Includes just three Monsters: A Tank with Magic Attack, a Healer, a Supporting Magic Attacker

Batlle Lineup - Regal Peryton _ Battle 1.png

General Opinion: This Battle went Almost Bad for me, Because Around the 3rd Round where 2 Monster from my Lineup had been Eliminated with Only Regal Peryton Standing - I wasn't confident in winning this Battle.

My Opponent chose a Large Collection of Monsters with a Summorner that reduced my Speed Perk. A Monster Perk from the enemies Lineup added +2 Shield to ALL Monsters but Since I was Dealing in Magic, This Was a Bad Call.

I was Suprised in the Last Round When Regal Peryton Survived Many Hits by Dodging them and Dealing with +2 Magic Attack in Return. I would conclude my victory to My Choice of Obsidian Summorner and the Powerful Speed of Regal Peryton, which were the Outstanding Points(And of course, a Few Lucky Misses)

Battle 2

Battle Details: Again, I'm Battling a Life Elemental Team but a Stronger Team in a Battle Mana Cap of 20. I Decided to Go with the Earth Elemental again feeling good about the Last Battle where Regal Peryton surpassed my expectations.

Battle Lineup: My Battle Lineup -

Batlle Lineup - Regal Peryton _ Battle 2.png

General Opinion: This Second Battle was CRAZY, I'm even more Suprised of my Victory, because, there were A LOT of Attacking Monsters in My Opponent's Lineup, Including a Double Striker Monster (Attacking Twice Per Round).

Because of this, my Tank Monster (Venari Knifer) didn't last Past the very First Round, you can imagine my state of mind? (Simply, I thought I'd lost). Goblin Psychic which was placed to Heal the Tank Monster was Useless in this situation because of how fast the Blows came. Goblin Psychic also Managed to take out a Few Monsters thanks to his High Magic Attack of +3.

Regal Peryton alas, became the Surviving Monster Again by the End of Round 4, with Four Enemy Monsters still Standing.

With every Miss on my Enemy's Monster Part, Regal Peryton Made Direct Hits. At One Point, Regal Peryton Was Hanging with Just ONE Health Available, with Two Enemy Monsters Still Standing, any Single Attack and I would have Lost right then.

Regal Peryton Speed came to the rescue, By Round 7, I Landed two Consecutive Hits on a Double Striker Monster that Ended him, How Ironic!

AND THAT WON ME THE BATTLE!!

Summary - I'm Short on Words

Needless to say, Regal Peryton is a Badass Monster Capable of Turning Battles Around, Stunning the Most Confident Opponents in their Tracks and My Double Battle Shared Above Shows Us Why.
Again For Real, This is ONE Monster that I Really Like and Respect and What Makes it Unique from every Other Flying Monster in Splinterlands is One Crucial Thing; Its +5 Speed.

I Always Ask Myself; How Does Regal Peryton look so Special and Win Most Individual Challenge, How is it Able to Evade so Many Attacks?. Well, the Answer to that is Because of It's High Speed.
With Regal Peryton, I've Found a Monster that Can Significantly Improve my Win-rate AND Guarantee a Faster Climb in the Leagues.

Even though I might be Short on Words, I'm NOT Short on Praise for this One-of-a-Kind Earth Monster!

Say, what is your Honest Opinion about Regal Peryton?

Your Gamer & Builder,
Chel_
