Celebrating National Careers Week at Work
The day began windy, dreary, and drizzly. As always, weather like this makes me want to crawl back into bed and doze off again, which is always wishful thinking.
I arrived at work and was enjoying my coffee when I realized it was the Primary Careers Day Competition, part of National Careers Week. We, the staff, must collect the stickers with the job title written on them from the office. It must be worn throughout the day then the kids would come up to us to converse as to why we chose that job or whether we're one before becoming a Teacher or if it's our dream job. It's just basically something for them to initiate and/or establish a conversation with us, staff.
I then went to the office to select one, and there were many options in a bowl, such as Baker, Nurse, Doctor, Engineering, and so on. It was difficult because there were so many options until I decided to pick the Personal Trainer. LOL.
Yes, it was a competition because they had to jot down our names and our jobs written on the sticker on a piece of paper that they would finally drop in the competition box in the Primary office. Awards will be chosen at random for two children per year. I find it fun as one kid in Year 2 asked what a personal trainer is and when I told him I am someone who creates and designs exercises for people who would like to be fit. He then nodded and asked to follow, We're you one before you became a teacher? I then said No, but it has always been something I want to be but was not given a chance.
He then found a spot, something hard to lean his paper on as he kept looking at my sticker to write P...E...R...S...O...N...A...L...T...R...A...I...N...E...R. It felt ages for him to finish but he did eventually. LOL. Then he waved to his friends and said "here, here here's Miss! Waaaaaaaaaa! Of course, I thought of an immediate plan and talked to them in a group then asked the first kid I spoke with to help his friends what to write by showing his paper. The moment they do, I bid my goodbye as I needed to have my lunch. 😅
I hope everyone had a lovely day today as I did.
BTW, If I were you, which Job title would you pick and why?
Thank YOU for being here.

I will choose to be a teacher. I remember when my nieces and nephews were still kids when they argue about something they always said "sabi ni teacher"😊
Naku nakakapagod po maging teacher lalo na pag "ambabait" po ng kids. Hehehe
But yeah at the end of the day it becomes rewarding most esp seeing them achieve something.
Thanks for dropping by po @luvinlyf
