Wednesday began with me assisting my special needs student in creating a terracotta warrior for two classes (1.5 hours). I had to make my own as well as apply the modeling approach to help him achieve 'independently'. The 'I do first then you follow' strategy was implemented and was a success. Excuse my terracotta face, I was in a hurry so I was not sure if that is how a fierce look should be. 😅

Next, was the 'Bake off' among our year group. The students brought home-baked cakes to school to commemorate the end of our Whole Class Guided Reading Book, Tangled of Knots. The Strawberry Oreo Chocolate Cake was my favourite of the cakes brought. It was delicious and quickly consumed!

Lunchtime and since there were cakes that I can’t just say No to, I needed to have a proper lunch first before having them and so I walked down to the school canteen and bought myself Korean Chicken with egg and stir-fried veggies. Coffee was a must with the cakes and so yeah. Teehee

After my two-hour afternoon extra job, I headed straight to Bukit Tasek Lama to hike. I waited for my friend for around 20 minutes before starting up the hill. I'm not comfortable doing it alone, so I always walk through the jungle with someone. Concerns about safety. We managed to finish in 40 minutes with the usual short trail done twice. The sunset was spectacular from the top. I just had to take a photo. As we head home, there were coconuts for sale. It's a surprise seeing one as the stall disappeared months ago. Of course, I had one, coconut juice is my favourite!

We then headed home and quickly prepped dinner. I was starving! The meat was cooked thru an air fryer then my friend sauteed cabbage and made boiled egg salad. YUM, YUM, YUM.
Then as I needed a post-it which was in my black small sling bag I went to get one. To my surprise, my bag was not in my big black bag. ( Yes, I always have a small bag in my big black backpack bag ). I panicked as my wallet is in there. Well, I only have like $7 in there but my IDs and bank cards were there too.’Think. Think. Think.’ I told myself. I even called some colleagues to ask if they had noticed it laying around in the classrooms. Well, they weren’t any help so I had to really think hard. LOL.

A-Ha! Finally, I remembered! It did take some time, so I returned to the school at about 9ish p.m. My friend thinks they might not let me in since it's already late, but I had to try. Another colleague advised me to bring my school ID, which I would have forgotten.

Thank goodness, it was only on the table when I walked into the classroom. Nothing was missing from the inside. 'Oh! you and your forgetfulness!' says my friend. If this happens back at 'HOME,' I doubt you still have that bag. I had to agree, but I was just soooo relieved to have retrieved my bag!

Phew! What a long, hectic, and interesting day.

How did your Wednesday go?

PS. Ramadaan Mubarak to all who are fasting. Have a Blissful Ramadaan.

Laters!
