After hearing about this new Korean restaurant from our colleagues, my food buddy and I decided to go. That was last month, and we only had the opportunity to go over the weekend. There were plenty of space and tables and a lot of people on that day as well, probably because it was the weekend.

So we seated, and the waitress handed us the menu. Wow! It was quite a thick menu and it was overwhelming to look at as there were so many food options. I even came to a point where I couldn't decide because they all looked so good. So my friend suggested choosing in the following order: appetizer, soup, main course, and whatever was left at the end.

Then an appetizer was served in the house. I forgot that at every Korean restaurant, there are always free appetizers available while you wait for your ordered food. There were seven different appetizers on a little platter, and the only ones I knew of were the kimchi, peanut with anchovies, and radish salad in cubes. They all tasted savoury except for the orange chicken thingy which I found so sweet.

After what seemed like an eternity of thought, we chose the slow-simmered oxtail soup, which was heavy in protein and calcium as the menu stated. It lacked a bit of a flavour and the meat was not consistently tender. Some parts were ok but some are hard to chew. I haven't had oxtail before so I am not sure If that should be normal. After putting a bit of a sauce the taste became better anyway.

The Dolsot Bibimbap in a Hot Stone Pot came next. I loved how beautiful it looked on a hot stone pot and the veggies on top of it were loads. The taste was awesome too!

Following the Bibimbap were the Salmon Avocado Gimbap and my personal favourite, the Seafood Pajeon! My friend said that we won't be able to finish all of it but I opposed. She actually tried stopping me to order the Seafood Pajeon but I just can't. LOL. The Salmon Avocado Gimbap was rice folded in seaweed and topped with mayo. It tastes wonderful as well, but as I had already devoured myself on the Bibimbap and oxtail soup, I only had two pieces and had to make room for my favourite Seafood Pajeon. The Seafood Pajeon, also known as buchimgae, is a Korean savoury pancake filled with vegetables, kimchi, and seafood. I enjoyed their pancake because the fillings of vegetables and shrimp were scrumptious.

Overall, the meal was excellent. That day, it was just the two of us, and we were both so full that we couldn't finish everything as my friend predicted. LOL. We ended up taking half of the Gimbap and the pancake home with us. A fantastic place with superb meals. I will most certainly be back to try their other meals!

Thank you for reading!

The oxtail soup should be tender. I am just not sure why it's like that there. 😅
Sometimes some restaurants will allow you to season it by yourselves so maybe that's the rule there..? I'm not sure. 😅
I would order that pancake too!
