Am back with my new discovering today. Want to share with you most of the things I learned about cucumber farming from my friend and how I assisted in spraying organic insects and termites controller on the Cucumbers. Today I visited my friends cucumber garden. I visited last when labourers was tilling the ground.

To my greatest surprise today, the Cucumbers are already 1 week old. When I get to his garden, I saw his labourers spraying something like water on the leafs of the Cucumbers and immediately ask what is it. I was told by one of them that it is organic insecticides. That termite's will eat off the leafs if it's not sprayed on it. And it also serves as manure and food to the leafs and the Cucumbers generally. Before spraying it on the Cucumbers, it has been mixed with clean water. So, I collected one of the filled containers and start paying it on the Cucumbers. The boys was so happy to see me working with them.

I come to learn that it took 6 weeks for the Cucumbers to mature and die after harvesting. What a short life span. Well, you can still replant after harvesting the first stage. I enjoyed spaying the termite control on the Cucumbers.

The white ropes.

Hope you noticed something like white ropes in this image?? Yeah it's known as biding ropes. The Cucumbers do very when they climb up. So, the biding ropes are used to direct the Cucumbers. As the are coming up, the won't touch the ground. Because if the do, hehe, you know the season we are into now. They will be affected by the sun. But when you look up, you will also notice biding wire were the biding rope is connected and also a bamboo tree.

The bamboo's are fixed strong on the ground, the the bidding wire's are fixed first on the top of the bamboo tree's before using the bidding rope to direct the Cucumbers there. As you can see, it's very strong to held the Cucumbers when the began to bear fruits.

Throughout this holidays, I will be visiting this farm to spray water and also help during weeding which might come up next week or anytime soon. I want to stop here for now. Because I still have a lot to share with you. I believe before the end of this holidays, all of us will learn how to cultivate cucumbers. Personally, am going back to farm next year. So, be ready for family and gardening updates from me. If you love cucumbers just like I do, please drop your comments.
