Dreemport- Expecting a warm welcome Scholars & Scribe

(Edited)

I had to go search google for what a Dessert is because it certainly isn't our tradition over here, hehe, I guess dreemsteem didn't think about that but we West Africans are sort of special you know, I'm sorry if you don't agree but we surely are quite different and it's beautiful. I would surely have talked about anything else, maybe fake up a little story about how I love chocolate cake and a 1907 wine to go with it but I'm not going to do that but what I'll do is...

Hi, it's refreshing to finally get myself to do this, I am a bit on the shy side and I don't know how to meet people but then I'm pretty excited to meet Guardian Scholars and Scribe members and I must say I have a lot of respect on that name. I love great stories and I believe this is the home of a lot of them, great minds with the best pen you can think of, I certainly don't come near but I'll try for Dreemport, by the way I'm Chinco, suspected half chinese and half Nigerian. If you want us to get to know each other just drop a comment below asking me anything you want to know. I'll be sure to reply ❤️

Since there's no dessert I'll just tell you a little about one food I love to eat and share a slight memory about it. We Nigerians tend to eat strong food because we need that energy to face life in this country and it's really beautiful sometime. I've always enjoyed the delicious taste of *Eba and White soup. If I can't get a picture I guess I'll leave you to use your imagination.

It's one of my favorite foods because there's a lot of meat in it especially the goat meat and it's usually very flavored and to enjoy it better they'll have to be a lot of pepper in it. I remember growing up I used to have my mom prepare only on special occasions, most time during Christmas where we'll have a lot of friends and family around, we'll kill a goat (animal lives matter mind you) and she'll use it to prepare the wonderful delicacy.

It became a ritual and I always looked up to days like that. Well now, I can get a plate of that delicacy for almost $0.8 and eat it to my satisfaction, I guess times have changed.

Questions and Answers

How long have you been on Hive

I got a message from HiveBuzz last week alerting me that I've just clocked one year. It was really overwhelming to see that I've been in this amazing space for 12 months and they're still better days coming.

Have you ever written fiction before?

One night I woke up with a big throat in my leg, it was gruesome and....Yes I have

Are you familiar with Scholar & Scribe

Not entirely but I know a few great authors who post there but I've never really taken the bold step to actually really check out the community

Are you expecting this to be a fun challenge

I'm not to excited about challenges because I suck at them but then I love fiction and I'm pretty sure this one would be a lot of fun

Are you going to try to go for the 3 part serial fiction (3 weeks), the engagement...

Naaa, I'm not trying, I'm certainly going for the three part serial fiction. I've always wanted to link stories to each other and this a great opportunity to give it a try, why not!!.

Thank you for reading this, if you enjoyed it or it connected to you in a way, I invite you to drop a comment, I'll be glad to reply and Upvote for more content ❤️

Greetings @chincoculbert and welcome to Scholar and Scribe ! ☝️

Look, we're all using a freaking blockchain to post our stuff, safe to say that most people on this platform are shy (so you're in good company 👏). As for the desert, I love how you pulled a 180 and just said 'fuck it!' and decided to talk about a meat dish. 😂

Since you've already written fiction before, you'll fit right into your fellow scholars and scribes. 😁 We're all about getting better at our craft and growing as a community. If that sounds fun then come along!

Good luck in your entries! 🍻

Indeed a proud son of the soil. I've tasted white soup once but I still prefer others to it but I'm impressed to see how you demonstrated your love for it.

It's a good thing you love fiction and you are good at it, I can't wait to get hooked by your story.

Eba and white soup! 😂 Yes, only the Nigerian-Chinese guy will own this delicious dish as his dessert. I'm with you all the way!

Any ideas for your 3-part fiction for this challenge? You already write fiction so I know you are up to the task! Looking forward to reading your story. Good luck! 😄

Who is Chinese? Your mom or Dad? 🤣🤣🤣 Or you just came up with the name to make it look stylish? 😅😅😅
When you mentioned Eba, I was like “Does a Chinese eat Eba or someone has forced the dude to eat it in Nigeria?” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Although I love the name “Chinco” 😊😊
I came to your post through Dreemport
