NFT Tweet Tiles : Buy and sell NFTs through Tweets

There's been a lot of buzz following Elon's recent Purchase of Twitter, there's been mixed reactions with some people backing his purchase as a big win for the Crypto world. Following his purchase, he claimed to have purchased Twitter "to try to help humanity, whom I love." Elon who believes that Twitter has a lot more potential than it's actually showing on October completed the deal and is now the owner of Twitter.

Few hours after his purchase Twitter has an announced that it will allow the buying and selling of NFTs through tweets. Scrolling through Twitter I saw the update through @TwitterDev and it really caught my attention. We all know that NFTs are making a lot of waves lately and there's been a lot of buzz about them, could this be another big break for NFTs?

The new update known as the NFT Tweet Tiles displays the NFT alongside it's owner in dedicated panel within a tweet, and also includes a button that lets us the users click through to a marketplace listing.

So far so good every thing is still in testing and it has announced it's partnership with four marketplaces. These are some of the most widely used NFT marketplaces, and they span across several blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Flow, , Tezos, and Immutable X (I wish Hive was included, hehe).

These four marketplaces, Solana-centric marketplace Magic Eden, multi-platform NFT marketplace protocol Rarible, Flow blockchain creator Dapper Labs, and sports-centric platform Jump.trade are some of the best NFT marketplaces and it would be great to see them partner with Twitter.

The Tweet Tiles integration is still in testing and we await more information, hopefully it'll be a great way to easily buy and sell NTFs. What's your take on this recent development? I'll be looking forward to your comments.

I don't know, Elon is great, very intelligent. He has already starting working on Twitter trying to bring his vision of web 3.0 to life. But sometimes good intentions often lead to bad outcomes. I think (from a certain standpoint) he will just be enhancing web 2.0. Maybe boosting it up to web 2.5 or even 2.9. As for web 3.0, there is some fundamental differences that he will probably figure out soon (or later).
