Hello bloggers, how are you? today I show you a character creation, I had a few weeks that I did not create a person and less of this type, something a little more in 3D (not so much because I'm not an expert in that), but I wanted to give life to an old sketch that I had and see how interesting it could look finished, I have always been fascinated by the illustrations of monsters that are where if you zoom in you can see their fur and although it is somewhat tiring and difficult I wanted to test these techniques and this was the perfect opportunity, I took out my sketch and I got down to work, I show you step by step as always let's go there.

Hola blogueros ¿Cómo están?, el día de hoy le muestro una creación de personaje, tenia unas semanas que no creaba un persone y menos de este tipo, algo un poco mas en 3D (no tanto porque no soy experto en eso), pero quise darle vida a un antiguo boceto que tenia y ver que tan interesante se podía ver terminado, siempre me han fascinado las ilustraciones de monstros eso son donde si le haces zoom se puede ver su pelaje y si bien es algo cansado y difícil quise poner a prueba estas técnicas y esta era la oportunidad perfecta, saque mi boceto y me puse manos a la obras, te enseño en paso a paso como siempre vamos allá.

A technique that helps me a lot when I'm going to draw this kind of monsters somewhat deformed body and perhaps not so similar to reality, is to make ovals together with circles or other geometric shapes next to each other, with this you can achieve that a very interesting sketch emerges from this exercise, so I made an oval next to another and from there was my starting point to create his anatomy, the only thing I had very clear is that he had very small feet Xd smaller than his body itself, I put a happy expression because you know that everything I do I like to have that happy or tender touch. And this sketch came out pretty funny.

Una técnica que me sirve mucho cuando voy a dibujar a este tipo de monstros algo deformados de cuerpo y tal vez no tan parecidos a la realidad, es hacer óvalos juntos con círculos o con otras formas geométricas una al lado de otra, con esto se puede lograr que emerja un boceto bastante interesante de este ejercicio, así que hice un ovalo junto a otro y de ahi fue mi punto de partida para crear su anatomía, lo único que tenia muy claro es que tuviese los pies muy pequeños Xd mas pequeños que su cuerpo mismo, le puse una expresión feliz pues ya saben que todo lo que hago me gusta que tenga ese toque feliz o tierno. y salió este boceto bastante divertido.

At this point came the fun and somewhat stressful, I grabbed my fur brush, this brush is really good, it is one of my best investments, and not only I have this straight fur brush but also some wavy fur brushes and others with frizz when I learn to handle them well I will also bring you a creations made with these brushes, well the truth is that it was something fun and also complicated because I had to place the fur in the right direction because otherwise it would not give the feeling of softness I was looking for, the idea was that it would be so fluffy that it would make you want to hug him XD. For this I looked at my dog's fur and he was my best reference to know where to place shadows and all that.

En este punto llego lo divertido y algo estresante, agarre mi pincel de pelaje, este pincel es realmente bueno, es una de mis mejores inversiones la verdad, y no solo tengo este de pelaje rectos si no también algunos de pelaje ondulado y otros con friz cuando aprenda a manejarlos bien también les traeré una creaciones hecha con estos pinceles, bueno lo cierto es que fue algo divertido y también complicado pues debía colocar el pelaje en la dirección correcta porque si no no iba a dar la sensación de suavidad que buscaba, la idea era que quedara tan esponjoso que diera ganas de abrazarlo XD. Para esto observe el pelaje de mi perrito y el fue mi mejor referencia para sabe donde colocar sombras y todo eso.

For this illustration I returned to use my so loved and dear cold tones, the truth is that my last drawing I did with a little warmer tones and I ended up hating it XD not in a bad way but rather the feeling it gave me is not the one I like to have when I see my drawings, so I decided to continue using my cold tones that I love so much, and it is not a bad thing, because each artist has his predetermined color palette and we should feel comfortable with what we use when creating and not just use one or another thing because there is a kind of obligation, it should be free and voluntary, with this I do not mean that I abandon any possibility of using warm tones but that we will incorporate them in a different way and not as a main palette.

Para esta ilustración volví a usar mis tan amados y queridos tonos fríos, la vedad es que mi ultimo dibujo lo hice con tonos un poco mas cálidos y lo termine odiando XD no en mal sentido si no que mas bien la sensación que me daba no es la que me gusta tener al ver mis dibujos, por ello he decidido seguir usando mis tonos fríos que tanto adoro, y no es nada malo, pues cada artista tiene su paleta de color predeterminada y deberíamos sentirnos cómodos con lo que usamos a la hora de crear y no solo usar una o otra cosa porque hay una especie de obligación, debe ser libre y voluntaria, con esto no quiero decir que abandono cualquier posibilidad de usar tenso cálidos pero que nos incorporare de otra manera distinta y no como una paleta principal.

Finally I tell you that this illustration is courtesy of my insomnia XD, in the early morning today I could not sleep so I took the idea to take advantage of that time and not stand there staring at the ceiling of my room, I went to my studio and started to draw, and this is what has emerged from there, I thought I wanted to sleep, but I woke up the desire to draw, it was very liberating and entertaining, after I finished I went to rest a little more, and this is all, to finish this drawing I just added a little backlight and ready, the hairy and tender monster was finished. What did you think?

Por ultimo te cuento que esta ilustración va cortesía de mi insomnio XD, en la madrugada de hoy no podía dormir así que tome la idea de aprovechar ese tiempo y no quedarme ahí mirando el techo de mi habitación, me fui a mi estudio y empecé a dibujar, y esto es lo que ha surgido de ahí, a pensar que quería dormir se me despertaron las ganas de dibujar, fue muy liberador y entretenido, luego que termine fui a descasar un poco mas, y esto es todo, para terminar esta dibujo pues solo agregue una pequeña contraluz y listo el monstruo peludo y tierno estaba terminado. ¿ Que te pareció?
