Looking for a few more Authors to Curate?

(Edited)

I am not going to post this under my 'big account' and if you don't know what that is, then all the better.

As HIVE is..., was until a few days ago up some, I have noticed my vote has also gone up. Having pulled my ZING delegation, even more so BUT this time there's some criteria involved.

image.png
Source

Do you have a stake in HIVE, or are you one of those people who have a 2016 account and vote of $0.00. There are the types I am NOT looking to attract.

'...If you have an HP stake of between 10,000 HIVE (HP) and 90,000 (HP) then I want to add you. Not because I want to circle jerk..., it's because you have showed some loyalty to HIVE. I don't expect reciprocal voting, I already get enough...'

The usual criteria applies. If you can't write for shit, don't know what Grammerly is, delegate almost your entire stack to something else that feeds your face then don't bother contacting me.

...If you know somebody who fits the above criteria, then please mention them below in the comments...

On this occasion you don't. I see you are powering down, it might be better to wait for the alt season if it ever arrives.

As for your reference, he does fit the HP criteria but I am a fussy bastard and he's doing something I would not, so will not add him. It's all preferences and what he's doing is not necessarily wrong.

Good luck to you.

Yes I am, I'm using it to trade here and there on Binance as I'm trying to diversify into some other Alts too. Then when it all moons I can put it all into Hive or HBD if the market works in my favor.

Oh okay, I wish you luck then ser. Have a great day ahead.

Thanks again for your regular and strong support of my work. Maybe it's not the best time right now to present my work to others, as I am powering down to put some money into function of personal matters, without abandoning Hive. Best regards from the Island.

I know what it's like trying to find people who deserve a vote. I need to review what my bot is doing lately.

It's an endless task. People join, they look good, I add them, then they don't post anymore and the script has trouble cycling through 300+ users, most of who are gone. I can't do all this manually, it's too much work, hence these infrequent posts of mine.

I have thought about scripting something to give me stats on those I support, but it's not such a big deal. I try to keep the numbers reasonable. In my case they lose support when they get past Minnow level.

Yes, it could be done and something else to find new ones.

I could do with a way to read the list of users from HiveVote. Not got around to really looking into it. My bot also follows another trail to use up its votes. I need to review the whole thing some time.

@steevc , sorry to intrude on the conversation, but I'd be happy to be part of your list. I've been here on Hive for a little over two years and I'm active daily. All the HP I have has been through my efforts, and I don't intend to stop. Having support from big names like you would be great for me to keep growing and an additional motivator. Check out my posts, they show a lot about my commitment and dedication to Hive.

Hi. My personal project is to support small accounts and you already have a good stake, so you would not qualify for that. It looks like you do okay, so keep it up.

You do have the HP, but when I see this... I see self-voting. You have 1k actually, the other 9k is for you and your wallet. It's your choice, and you can do what you like but this makes you not qualify.

Yes, I've been delegating part of my HP to leofinance for a few weeks now. Is there anything I can do to make you reconsider? This support would be important to continue growing within hive.

I've been browsing the music a lot lately. Several new faces there and many wouldn't meet your criteria but I have to admit the actual content is quite often worth supporting. I've been manually voting forever and that approach seems to tie together well with music. Press play and if it's off to a rough start I'll just move on to the next. Plenty to choose from. Plus they only post once per week in Vibes so I'm spreading it out to quite a few. First time in years I'm actually eager to come and see what's new.

If only I had 10,000 HP that would have been a nice opportunity to sneakily throw my name in... but I haven't such a stack, so I'm just here to say: very cool iniziative! Getting noticed isn't easy and this for some could be a great opportunity :)

Hope to get myself a chance when I'm finally going to reach that target - which is a matter of time, as I'm here for the long run and plan to build... well, as much HP as I can! 🤟

What I have noticed is the long-term large stakeholders are well treated, the newbies are (for a short while), but what of the mid-level guys?

0

Yup, that's true, and not all newbies get noticed - which is inevitable, but often, at least to me, it looks like that quality is not what's making the difference between being curated and being not.

Also, the lack of support for mid-level guys is often what leads lots of users to leave the platform, while user retention is a key element for the success of Hive. I'm not saying that being a "mid-level" stackers should automatically entitle you to get upvotes, but only that I agree with you that there's some sort of "hole" when coming to curation towards users:

  • big-level users often upvote each others and get a lot of attention from people who hope to get back an upvote for their engagement and support; also, there are some big-level users who objectively post very high quality content and deserve all of the upvotes they get;
  • small-level users are usually supported by curation projects whose aim is exactly that;
  • mid-level users... well, they are a bit left on their own, and if they don't have the patience and perseverance to find different ways to get some support (i.e. challenges, calls to action, some specific tags which boost your chances to get upvoted), they will most-likely become less active and, eventually, even leave the platform.

I've seen quite a bunch of users leaving because their work wasn't getting any love... and when you see that your post, full of effort, decently translated, and well formatted gets less upvotes and engagement that that one post poorly written and translated, posted form mobile without any formatting or any useful content inside, which the author him/herself auto-upvoted and no one seems to care, your morale and willingness to improve can become extremely low.

Wow!!! How can you be so accurate!!

I guess being here for long made you understand how all of these happens.

I wish I knew how things work here on Hive 😅 but I've seen many good users leaving the platform because their effort wasn't recognised and/or appreciated.

I don't meet HivePower's requirements because I'm more focused at the moment on the work of managing the HiveBR community, but I recommend michupa who meets these requirements and is a good content creator.

For sure! I will get a dolphin status by the end of the year! By the way you could check @mengao . His posts are awesome he is around 20k hp, and he keeps most of his hp for himself not delegating to ecency or ocdb more than 80% like many people

Hi, @chops.support.

If you allow me to be a little "selfish" here to mention myself, I would like to have this recognition because I have been part of Hive since the beginning (I joined Steemit in 2017, and migrated to Hive after the hard fork) and considering everything I've done, what I do and what I still intend to do in this ecosystem, I think maybe I deserve this chance.

I invite you to take a look at my blog and read my content.

Thanks.

I would like to recommend @ekavieka here but he still needs 3-4 months to get that 10K HP. In the last 2 years only a few people from my country that care about Powering Up, and currently he is one of us who still give examples why we still need to do power up.

I know I don't the criteria just yet, please kindly check on my posts, so maybe I can be the next nomination if you are still looking for another author to curate.
Thank you.

Yikes my suggestion thebigsweed so many arrive and leave.

Sticking with manual curation always is time consuming. Never used Grammerly although do my own spell checks. SA has intermittent connection both internet and electricity no options, tis what it is!

@palomap3 is very close to being in your required range. I hope you'll keep an eye on her as she's a wonderful lady!

It looks like @dbooster is too modest to nominate himself, but I do so without hesitation.

Thank you for creating this project!

Finally someone who thinks outside the box in the Hive network.

You could take a look at the Brazilians in the #HiveBR community. There are some interesting people there.

I'm certainly part of the group ... or are you one of those people who have a 2016 account and vote of $0.00. There are the types I am NOT looking to attract., but I have my reasons, I used to have a good amount of Hive Power, however a disagreement with other curators made me receive Downvotes and end up turning off all my Hive Power. And I don't intend to add much for a while (I'm working on a new project, if it works out I'll do it on Hive). But I can recommend some members with these requirements who have great posts: @michupa , @wiseagent and @mengao

Thank you for the recommendation, this is already the third one here in the comments and I'm happy about it.

It's a pity that this happened, you were promising and made great content (still do). Indeed, this kind of thing on Hive, related to persecution, sucks, driving away users who would help this ecosystem grow even more. But you're still here despite some trying to hinder you, and that speaks volumes about who you are

I've been mentioned here in this comment several times and I couldn't let the opportunity pass to recommend some users whom I admire not only for persevering on Hive and accumulating HP, but also for their excellent work in creating top-notch content. I'll recommend three of the ones I'm most impressed with, namely @underlock, @libertycrypto27, and @shiftrox (who is very close to reaching 10k HP). These guys add a lot to the Hive and should be looked at more closely.

Thanks a lot my friend, I'm at 8k and I intend to reach 10k this year without fail! Only stop writing if I die (God forbid), hive changed my life and I can't get off anymore, it's addictive!

I have been on Hive since March 5, 2019 and I have never done a power down simply because Hive is my favorite blockchain project and it is also the only web 3 place where I like to be and on which I like to spend part of my free time.
I like to support other Hive authors and I have as a personal rule to never exceed 30% of my Hive Power in delegations.
My passion is Hive games and my blog is almost entirely dedicated to them.
I think I fit the requirements but maybe I'm already on your list because sometimes I've received a vote from you and your main account.

I was tagged in a comment in this post by @michupa who has more than 10K HP and should meet the requirements as well.
I follow many authors daily and thinking of authors I follow who have more than 10K HP and less than 100K HP and who I have never seen do power down, right now come to mind @giuatt07 @ph1102 @josediccus @alokkumar121 @bitcoinflood @incublus @jfang003 @dalz @claudio83 @stefano.massari

Thank you for this initiative because reading the comments I will also find some new authors with medium to long term goals that I will also be able to follow and support

Hi @chops.support
Good day.
I have been here since June 2018 and trying to build hive stake. I am here for the long term and I prefer to use my HP to support other creators on Hive (I prefer not to delegate more than 20%). I hope that I fit the criteria.
I also recommend some authors I follow and they have also been building HP and active on the platform. They are @bhattg @gungunkrishu @nainaztengra @rtonline and I haven't even seen them powering down. They are adding a lot to Hive. Thanks

I invite you to check my profile. I joined this community in 2019 and now have over 20k HP and even trying to grow more. I show up every day to create content and engage with the community. I do power down sometimes but this is done to convert Hive/HBD when I see an opportunity and it helps me to grow my HP. I even withdraw HBD when the hive price is low. So the ultimate goal is to stay connected with the hive community and grow hive power. Thank you so much for giving this opportunity to hivers who are committed to the hive.
