In that sense, ETH is also firm and stable. Fundamentally strong coins with robust utility always suffer less jerk. Not sure if the bear season has started or it was just a consolidation phase, but any negative thing surrounding USDT(given the fact that they were also not very transparent) could nosedive the market to a level which no could comprehend.
