My Cardiff Experience

Last month, I had my first family vacation away to the city of Cardiff, Wales. It was my first family vacation after marriage and my first time leaving England since moving in here in 2020. It was a lovely experience for me and my family and I loved it. London is a wonderful a place to live, but I believe that sometimes its ideal to step out of your comfort and see the world. Summer is usually a perfect time to go grasp some fresh air outside home.

Growing up, my family and I would usually travel for holiday towards the end of the year. My siblings and I always looked forward to it has it was usually fun. Although the holiday was in our remote village, the road trip was the most interesting part of the holiday. It's been a long time I had one with my siblings has we lost our parents. Fast-forward to 2022, I was overjoyed when my husband came up with idea of a family vacation.

Visiting Cardiff in Wales for the first is a memory that would be with me for a long time. The trip was fun has we travelled from London for over 3 hours by road. Crossed the popular 'Prince of Wales' bridge which has a total length of 16,824ft for the first time. I also visited places like the 'Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama', Cardiff stadium plaza and Barry Island Beach.

The Cardiff Stadium plaza is a lovely leisure centre with lots of fun activities. There I had my first bowling experience, played some indoor games and watched my husband play snooker as I didn't known how to. There were lots of activities at the plaza that we couldn't play as we were running out of time. Bowling with family an friends was fun though, especially with some popcorn.

Barry Island was another one for me as a lover of nature. The fresh air, sea view, the birds, and family presence all made it my favourite part of the vacation. I get to feel the cool sea after a long time of visiting a beach. The beach was flooded with people has it was a cool weather. It was truly an enjoyable weekend for me and I would to do this again.
