I Just Won My 1st 4 Battles In A Brawl

I Do Not Consider Myself A Good Player

Lately, I have been making some pretty decent decisions bringing home some cool victories. I am not crying sour grapes but Splinterlands is kind of a hard game to learn. There are a lot of different things to consider plus there are so many smart experienced players.

For a Noob or less experienced player like myself strategy is so important especially when most of our cards are starter decks. If you want to win you really need to build your decks in all Splinters, not just the ones we like.

I have added to my deck by buying individual cards, Chaos Legion Packs, and Gladius Case. I would guess that I added about 60 cards to my deck, not including cards that were gifted to me. My Deck Power is good enough for Bronze 2 at 2345. Lately, I have been considering renting some cards to level up 2 of my Splinters to level 4.

Battle 1:

Even though I was facing 2 monsters with thorns I had some clear heroes on my line. Disintegrator has a cool ability as he takes away 1 melee from unfriendly monsters. Fire Elemental hits 2 enemies with 1 shot. The Serpentine Spy is very fast and great to have in your backline.

Battle 2:

Facing Mycelic SlipSpawn with the Summoner Mylor Crowling gives her thorns to defend against my melee attacks. Although the Lava monster has the ability to avoid melee and ranged attacks he does not have any defense against magic. I thought magic was a weird choice because this brawl's rule was that magic attacks hit the shield before life.

This is a low mana quick battle. I had the most speed, remember Speed Kills So I was able to go first, and as you can see I struck and the thorns retaliated Mycelic Slipspawn did not even have a chance to use her magic attack not once.

Battle 3:

In brawls, the rules change with every battle. Some battles have limited Splinters, and some have limited monsters in many different ways. In this battle, you will see that Time Mage with her ability to slow down the opposing team's speed with a magic attack. Not only will she slow down everyone you are fighting bought will attack with a damage of 1.

Venari Crystal Smith with heal ability and a ranged attack of 1 makes her a great asset. As you will see the opposing team attacked and wore my Chaos Knight down and when it looked bad Venari Crystal Smith was there to save the day.

Battle 4:

You will see that this battle came down to just 1 point in my favor. Lava Monster again has a great ability to absorb those melee and ranged attacks, plus Djinn Apprentice helped, but honestly, I think this battle boiled down to luck.

Can Anyone Tell Me How I Won This Battle?

This battle was so crazy, I am not sure how I won other than my opponent had Ranged attack monsters that fell into first position and could not attack, giving me an advantage. Remember Speed Kills Silent Sha-Vi has a speed of 3 when the attacking monsters had a speed of 2. The only thing I can think of was in the end speed save me.
