Need Some Advice For My Snipe Quest

In The Earth Splinter...

In the Earth Splinter, I have 2 good Snipe Monsters, and I am thinking of buying a 3rd. The 1st Snipe monster is "Child of the Forest" this monster is very fast but has a ranged attack of 1, but if I level him up then I can get a ranged attack of 2 on a 3 mana card.

Mantoid

I know that Mantoid is a Neutral Splinter monster but this gives this monster the ability to fight in any Splinter. Mantoid has a ranged attack of 2 with a speed of 2, but if I rent or buy a level 4 the attack and speed are both 3 and 3.

I Might Buy Hunter Jarx for $1.25

Hunter Jarx is an interesting Snipe Monster with a ranged attack of 3 and a speed of 2. Now for just 24 DEC daily, I could rent a level 4 increasing the attack by 1 and life by 2.

I Need an Upgraded Summoner

I do understand that in order to use the higher level cards regardless of bought or rented I need a higher level Summoner in this case at least a level 4. I am thinking of renting a level 4 Mylor Crowling, I like how thorns are so effective against melee attacks. I could also use an upgraded Obsidian, but she at $3.95 per BCX she is a bit out of my price range for a level 4.

Question: If I rented 39 Obsidian cards could I combine them into a Level 4?

All I could find to rent were level 1 Obisidian Cards, so I had to ask the above question the answer is probably NO because they are rentals.

Question: If you had to do a Snipe Quest which Splinter and which Snipe Monsters would you use?
