Lava Launcher

This is a great monster to play in the Fire Splinter. With Tarsa as the Summoner, things just get better. Tarsa gives Lava Launcher an extra life. Lava Launcher can fight in 1st position very effectively.

With a Ranged attack of 3, Speed 3, Shield 6, and 5 lives with +1 because of Tarsa. When an opponent brings thorns no problem because thorns are only effective against Melee attacks.

Up Against Nasty Summoners?

Wizard of Eastwood, Contessa L'amont, and Thaddius Brood, are the three summoners that take things away from your monsters. Against Lava Launcher those Summoners barely scratch the surface.

Second Position?

The second position is very important and can win or lose the battle. For Lava Launcher use either Tenyii Striker or Djinn Apprentice.

Tenyii Striker with Tarsa will have 3 Melee Attack 2 Speed and 7 Lives. With Sneak Ability this makes him a great fighter, and will instantly remove enemy monsters with lives of 3 or less.

Djinn Apprentice will only benefit a plus 1 life from Tarsa but having a Magic Attack of 2 on most Monsters his strike will avoid the shield and remove 2 life from the enemy monster. Neither of these monsters has the Reach Ability but seem to do better in this position than the monster with the reach ability like Giant Roc.

Try It Out

Splinterlands has a Practice Battle environment where you can practice using these monsters with out incurring any damage to your rating points if you lose, but you also do not get rating points for winning. This is great for sharpening you skills and making the best out of what you have.

IT can also highlight where you need improvement

In Splinterlands needing improvement can be as simple as buying more cards. Knowing which cards you need and where you will play them is basically the whole game.
