¡Feliz año a todos! Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde la última vez que publique por acá, y moría de ganas de hacerlo. Este año nuevo me propuse ser mas constante con mis dibujos y mis publicaciones en la comunidad, por lo que decidí no perder tiempo y comenzar lo más pronto posible.

Con esa meta en mente fue que decidí sumergirme, como de costumbre, en Pinterest en busca de inspiración. Quería dibujar algo con un estilo visual impactante por lo que tardé un poco buscando la imagen adecuada, hasta que la encontré. La fotografía era perfecta, se trataba de una modelo posando con un bate y un estilo deportivo holgado, que me inspiró demasiado.

Sin más pre-ambulo, les comparto el "Paso a Paso" de "La Chica Campeona".

Happy New Year to all! It's been a long time since I last posted here, and I've been dying to do so. This new year I decided to be more consistent with my drawings and my publications in the community, so I decided not to waste time and start as soon as possible.

With that goal in mind I decided to dive, as usual, into Pinterest in search of inspiration. I wanted to draw something with a striking visual style so it took me a while looking for the right image, until I found it. The picture was perfect, it was a model posing with a bat and a baggy sporty style, which inspired me too much.

Without further ado, I share with you the "Step by Step" of "The Champion Girl".

Step by Step:

Primero realicé un bosquejo rústico de nuestra protagonista. Luego, me enfoqué en pulir la ilustración, definiendo cabello, expresión, ropa y demás. Enfaticé en su mirada indiferente y en su holgada chaqueta, quería que transmitiera una vibra cool.

First I made a rustic sketch of our protagonist. Then, I focused on polishing the illustration, defining hair, expression, clothes and so on. I emphasized on her nonchalant look and her baggy jacket, I wanted it to transmit a cool vibe.

Luego, me enfoqué en realizar el Line Art, dejando todo listo para el coloreado. Quería jugar con muchas sombras e iluminación en el coloreado de nuestra protagonista, al ser un diseño repleto de detalles y líneas por doquier, por lo que empecé el coloreado con eso en mente. También quería que la chaqueta y accesorios tuvieran un color muy fuerte y llamativo, que evocara pasión y energía, por lo que decidí escoger el rojo para poder (intentar) transmitirlo.

Then, I focused on making the line art, leaving everything ready for coloring. I wanted to play with a lot of shadows and lighting in the coloring of our protagonist, being a design full of details and lines everywhere, so I started the coloring with that in mind. I also wanted the jacket and accessories to have a very strong and striking color, evoking passion and energy, so I decided to choose red to (try to) convey it.

Llegados a este punto, terminé de agregar el color base a su cabello, chaqueta y accesorios. También agregué iluminación en el rostro y piel para representar de mejor manera el foco de luz en el personaje.

At this point, I finished adding the base color to his hair, jacket and accessories. I also added lighting to the face and skin to better represent the spotlight on the character.

Ya para finalizar, agregué mi firma en la parte superior del lienzo y coloreé el fondo, culminando de esta manera con la ilustración.

Finally, I added my signature at the top of the canvas and colored the background, thus culminating the illustration.

Y de esta manera, culmino con mi publicación. Estoy muy orgulloso con el resultado final, siento que logré lo que tenía en mente con el personaje, y me hace sentir muy feliz y a gusto. Me gustó también la personalidad que considero transmite, con su pose y goma de mascar en la boca, por lo que estoy muy orgulloso de todo. Fue una experiencia muy cool ilustrarla, y espero les guste tanto como a mí. Por favor no dejen de comentar, me encantaría saber su opinión. And in this way, I end my publication. I am very proud with the final result, I feel that I achieved what I had in mind with the character, and it makes me feel very happy and at ease. I also liked the personality that I think he transmits, with his pose and gum in his mouth, so I'm very proud of everything.
