The Freshwater Feline - Original Character in Digital Paint
Hace un tiempo que no compartía nada por acá, así que decidí hacer algo diferente a lo que estoy acostumbrado.
Disfruto mucho de jugar con los colores e iluminación en mis ilustraciones, pero suelen ser siempre trabajos en los que presento personajes humanos, por lo que quise hacer esta vez un personaje antropomórfico, que fuera mitad humano mitad gato. Quise vestirle, como cereza del pastel, con un uniforme de marino, con colores fuertes en su atuendo que contrastaran con su pelaje.
Sinceramente no se si me quedó bien o no, pero amé demasiado el proceso creativo, fue muy divertido y sanador. Sentí que jugaba en nuevos vecindarios.
Por lo que, sin más dilación, les presento el "Paso a Paso" de este personaje antropomórfico a quién decidí nombrar "El felino de agua dulce"
It's been a while since I've shared anything here, so I decided to do something different from what I'm used to.
I enjoy playing with colors and lighting in my illustrations, but they are usually always works in which I present human characters, so this time I wanted to make an anthropomorphic character, half human, half cat. I wanted to dress him, as icing on the cake, with a marine uniform, with strong colors in his attire that contrasted with his fur.
I honestly don't know if it turned out well or not, but I loved the creative process too much, it was very fun and healing. I felt like I was playing in new neighborhoods.
So, without further ado, I present to you the "Step by Step" of this anthropomorphic character who I decided to name "The Freshwater Feline".
Step by Step:
First, I started with a rough sketch of the character, marking well his anatomy and pose, then I polished details of his design.
Then, I decided to concentrate on the line art, defining final details and leaving everything ready for the coloring. I wanted to use strong colors and I wanted his fur to contrast with the color of his uniform, so I used bright and saturated colors to achieve the effect I wanted.
At this point, and having colored the whole character, I decided to add a white sphere around the mouth and nose, to generate the sensation that our protagonist had more than one color in his fur.
At this point, I decided to add a blurred background representing a room with a large window, and my signature at the top of the drawing, thus completing my illustration.
And in this way, I end my publication today. I always have a great time doing these works, they are my personal practices where I drain the stress of my day to day life, but this particular drawing had a different creative process than my traditional involutions, which completely elevated the feeling.
