HOLA TRONCOS!

Hacia mucho tiempo que no dibujaba nada del mundo sobrenatural y fantástico, así que decidí ilustrar algo relacionado a ese concepto.

Se me ocurrió dibujar a una vampira, con sus alas de vuelo desplegadas, mientras sonríe y posa ante nosotros. Quería que fuera una vampira joven, de unos 20 años, que se preparaba para emprender algún vuelo nocturno.

Fue así como nació "La Joven Vampira", ilustración que mostraré a continuación. Disfruté mucho el proceso, por lo que, me entusiasma presentarles el "Paso a Paso" de este proyecto.

HELLO TRUNKS!

It had been a long time since I had drawn anything from the supernatural and fantastic world, so I decided to illustrate something related to that concept.

I came up with the idea of drawing a vampire, with her flying wings spread, as she smiles and poses in front of us. I wanted her to be a young vampire, about 20 years old, preparing to take some night flight.

That's how "The Young Vampire" was born, illustration that I will show below. I really enjoyed the process, so I'm excited to give you the "Step by Step" of this project.

Step by Step:

Primero, realicé el boceto rústico del personaje, enfatizando en la pose que quería tuviese. Luego, arreglé el diseño, puliendo y definiendo detalles del personaje.

First, I made a rough sketch of the character, emphasizing the pose I wanted him to have. Then, I fixed the design, polishing and defining details of the character.

Habiendo terminado el diseño rústico, decidí centrarme en realizar el Line Art, agregando la mayor cantidad de detalles posibles en su ropa y accesorios, dejando todo listo para el coloreado.

Me interesaba manejar una paleta de color muy oscura, como si nuestra protagonista se encontrara dentro de una cueva o algo así, por lo que jugué mucho con sombras muy marcadas, y brillos muy especificos.

Having finished the rustic design, I decided to focus on making the line art, adding as many details as possible in her clothes and accessories, leaving everything ready for coloring.

I was interested in using a very dark color palette, as if our protagonist was inside a cave or something like that, so I played a lot with very strong shadows, and very specific glows.

Llegados a este punto, definí los bordes iluminados de su rostro y cuerpo, y difuminé los detalles faltantes en el personaje. Luego, agregué un fondo oscuro, con un poco de iluminación al costado, que representase el interior de un lugar inóspito, para finalizar mi dibujo agregando mi firma en la parte superior del lienzo.

At this point, I defined the illuminated edges of his face and body, and blurred the missing details in the character. Then, I added a dark background, with some lighting on the side, representing the interior of an inhospitable place, to finish my drawing by adding my signature at the top of the canvas.

Y de esta manera, doy por concluido mi publicación de hoy. Me la pasé increíble realizando esta ilustración, me gusta muchísimo el diseño final de la chica y la verdad es que el color y el juego con las sombras que tiene la obra me parecen muy bonitas, por lo que estoy mas que satisfecho con el resultado final.

And thus, I conclude today's publication. I had an incredible time making this illustration, I really like the final design of the girl and the truth is that the color and the play with the shadows that the work has are very nice, so I am more than satisfied with the final result.
