Forgive and Forget

In life, there are several sources of offenses from different aspects of life. We have offenses coming from homes among couples and even from parents and kids. Also, loved ones can get into offenses once in a while. Also, offenses can arise from where we are working between us and are employers or employees. Offenses are common among men. Though the Bible warns us about being the sources of offenses, it tells us that it will be impossible for us not to encounter offenses.

Hebrews 8:12 (KJV) For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Romans 11:33 (KJV) O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

As christians, the Bible admonishes us to forgive those who offend us. There is no gravity of offense which should not be forgiven. Couples should forgive their spouses. Parents should forgive their erring children. Children also should forgive their parents when they feel offended. Forgiveness is one of the conditions that we must fulfill before our sins can be forgiven. In fact, the Bible says that if we do not forgive, we ourselves will not be forgiven.

Bro Eli Soriano explained in this video to us that we should forgive people and forget. He said that we can actually forget evil things if not that there are evil forces influencing our hearts and memories. Bro Eli told us that people tend to forget good things but retain evil things in their minds.
For us to be able to let go of evil things from our hearts God will help us against the evil forces controlling our minds.
