First time making a Steak π₯© π§ πΏ π§ π§
(Edited)
This is a quick one more of a show of my sexy looking steak π₯© not bad for first time.. listen I did watch a handful of YouTube videos before I even went out to the store .
I went with the simple but delicious recipe
Steak
Garlic
Thyme
Olive oil
Salt/pepper
Butter
Cast iron pan
Went ahead and followed about the same instructions on cooking the steak and than mixing everything in.
The picture above is with all the butter and juices of the steak I used to baste it.
It looks messy so I went ahead and cleaned it up and let it rest for some minutes and than took a nice picture of it.
It did come out real good.
For my first time it did not come out horrible.
Here is the video I watched a bit more then the rest.

I bet it was beginners luck for sure.

That does look like a mighty fine well-deserved steak sir. Nicely done. Medium rare is the way.
dude did you nail a beautiful medium rare on your first go?!? π
I love steak, eat it regularly and same, cast iron. I think my only tip would be salt it generously and sit it out 20-30 mins before you cook. salted and room temp will make for a nice crust and more even cook. but looks like you already figured it out!
the marbling on that steak looks really good..
Dude I think I really did, it came out so juicy and tender,. Yeah I let it sit out room temperature for about 15 mins, salted and peppered .
