¿Por qué algunos jugadores en “Splinterlands” tienden refugiarse en los BOTS? [EN-ES] 🎮

This is a topic that could be considered delicate for anyone, since there are what I would call 2 types of sides, where there are those who consider that their use and permissiveness is positive and those who find it negative because of the abuse they often cause in the ecosystem, in my case, my position is not in favor of any of the 2 sides, so I am "Neutral" on this issue, moreover, the "Splinterlands" team has not executed a permanent action against users who use BOTS, although, they are working to decrease their activity in the game and their constant farming of rewards, since many players complain about this, which is quite good.
With this in mind, in this opportunity I will change a little the usual theme in my publications of "Splinterlands", to talk a little of the BOTS that are used in the game so that the players can play automatically without the need of a real player (Human) in front of a computer or cell phone making decisions and strategies to follow, Besides, I will talk about my personal experience and my approach to these, so, I hope you read this complete post in order to understand this topic completely, because it is important that you can see all sides of this way of playing.
Why do users choose to use BOTS to play?
Many would probably give a short answer to this question, but the reality is that there are many factors that are associated with the collective use of this type of programming, in this sense, the reasons why users decide to use them are the following:
Multiple accounts: This is one of the reasons why users use the services of BOTS, because by creating and having multiple accounts playing and fulfilling the daily "Focus", they are certain that they will get many more rewards than concentrating all their deck in a single main account, of course, currently the cards that are won in the daily chests can not be sold, But, previously all these multiple accounts that work with BOTS, flooded the market with many cards lowering the price drastically, that is why, part of the decisions of the "Splinterlands" team in releasing the "Soulbound" cards is to avoid this practice of the BOTS.
No time to play: This is something very common in some players who are concerned about making their accounts grow, however, they resort to BOTS so that, when they cannot play, the service is in charge of fulfilling the daily objective, others cannot concentrate on playing several accounts manually due to the high number of hours they have to spend in front of the screens to achieve an optimal performance, so they decide to delegate this task to BOTS and decide to play at least one of them.
The game is no longer fun for them: This is another reason why players hire BOTS services to play their accounts, some believe that the game has not evolved and have focused only on the economy of the game, so they only configure the BOTS to play, only worrying about the profits and the return on investment they will have, since at the time they invested a lot of money and of course, will not allow them to remain without rewards.
To all this, we must add the abuse that many commit by using the services of BOTS to play countless accounts that, what they do is to squeeze the reward pool, which is quite negative for the economy and sustainability of the game in the long term, however, the team of "Splinterlands" is aware of this problem and has been making constant changes to curb their activity, which I think is very good, since this would allow the economy to grow gradually, also, the idea is to have more real players.
Why have I turned to BOTS (My personal experience)?
As I said at the beginning of this publication, my position on this issue is completely "Neutral", I had never worried about using this kind of services, so, I really did not pay much attention to them, until I ran out of time to play regularly, but, this does not mean that, I am not playing manually, because, the game still seems to me fun and attractive, if it has its shortcomings, nothing can be perfect, but, I love collectible card games, I have already mentioned it, so, that's why I still take time to continue playing them, I still find the game fun and attractive, if it has its shortcomings, nothing can be perfect, but, I love collectible card games, I have already mentioned it, so, that's why I still find time to continue playing manually, especially when the "Guild War" arrives, where I am very active and I love to participate to support my guild.
Even though my time to play has been reduced, due to personal situations that have to do with work, household chores and a lot of other things related to my life and its changes, I still find the time to play and bring you great strategies, that's why I use a BOT to play my account, also, it should be noted that I am in the game since 2020 and I have been active for a long time playing and growing my account, even at that time, after playing my account I immediately played my husband's account, which was the one who taught me to play, although, the student always surpasses the teacher haha.
My experience using "Archmage"
I had not revealed it in the course of all the publication, but, in this section I will talk about the BOT that I usually use some days a week to play for me, while I do not have the time to play manually, in this sense, the BOT I use is called "Archmage", very similar to the powerful card called "Archmage Arius", I guess its name was inspired by this card, although I have no certainty of this, but, what I'm going, is that, it is a very good BOT, the truth I have no complaints about it for the moment, its operation is quite sophisticated, since, for this to work I only have to buy a token the secondary market of "Hive Engine or Tribaldex", to use it, just have it in my wallet to configure it, the important thing about this is that, its platform is very intuitive and it is really easy to configure it.
On the other hand, speaking briefly about its performance, many times the alignments it uses are confusing and I don't understand them, because, it's not only about putting it to work and forget about it, once I have time and I deactivate it, I analyze each battle to know what strategies it has used, in some fights I'm sure I would play differently, in others, the lineups he uses are really brilliant, these formations I usually write them down and try to replicate them, because he actually takes into account many things that I wouldn't think of at the moment, but, despite using a BOT, this in a way helps me to improve my own game, because I care about analyzing his performance.

I really would not like to use a BOT to play, as I like to play manual, especially if it makes me a better player, but, as I already explained, my situation at the moment is complicated, so, some days a week I activate it, however, and despite using it, I do not see this as an abuse of the system, as I am using it on my only account, also, something I would like is to hire a "Scholar" to play my account, this I would really like more, but, the problem is that my account is not big enough to be able to split 50% of the rewards with this person willing to play, the earnings might not be very attractive, but, I am working to grow my account, so I plan to keep playing manual and for now keep activating the BOT, while I achieve a balance in my time.
I hope this post will be very helpful to know the situation of the famous BOTS and why users resort to its use, also, taking advantage of talking about "Archmage", in another publication I will talk in more detail about this bot so that those learn how to configure it, the best of this post is that, I will explain how to use it to improve your own game based on the positive strategies used by the BOT.
Este es un tema que se podría considerar delicado para cualquiera, puesto que existen lo que yo llamaría 2 tipos de bando, donde, están los que consideran que su uso y permisividad es positivo y aquellos a los que les parece negativo por el abuso que muchas veces causan en el ecosistema, en mi caso, mi posición no se encuentra a favor de ninguno de las 2 partes, por lo que soy “Neutral” en este tema, ademas, el equipo de “Splinterlands” no ha ejecutado una acción permanente en contra de los usuarios que usan BOTS, aunque, si están trabajando para disminuir su actividad en el juego y su constante agricultura de recompensas, puesto que muchos jugadores se quejan de esto, lo cual es bastante bueno.
Teniendo esto en cuenta, en esta oportunidad cambiare un poco la temática de costumbre en mis publicaciones de “Splinterlands”, para hablar un poco de los BOTS que se utilizan en el juego para que las cuantas jueguen de forma automática sin la necesidad de que un jugador real (Humano) este al frente de un ordenador o teléfono celular tomando las decisiones y estrategias a seguir, ademas, hablare de mi experiencia personal y mi acercamiento a estos, por lo que, espero que lean este puesto completo con la finalidad de que comprendan este tema por completo, ya que es importante que se puedan observar todos los lados de esta forma de jugar.
¿Por qué los usuarios deciden usar BOTS para jugar?
Probablemente muchos darían una respuesta corta para responder esta pregunta, pero la realidad es que existen muchos factores que están asociados al uso colectivo de este tipo de programación, en tal sentido, las razones por las que los usuarios deciden utilizarlos son las siguientes:
Multiples cuentas: Esta es una de las razones por la que los usuarios, utilizan los servicios de BOTS, ya que al crear y tener multiples cuentas jugando y cumpliendo con los “Focus” diarios, estos tienen la certeza de que consiguieran muchas más recompensas que concentrando todo sus mazo en una sola cuenta principal, por supuesto, actualmente las cartas que se ganan en los cofres diarios no se pueden vender, ni transferir, ni quemar, pero, anteriormente todas estas cuentas multiples que funcionan con BOTS, inundaban el mercado de muchas cartas bajando el precio drásticamente, es por eso que, parte de las decisiones del equipo de “Splinterlands” en sacar las cartas “Soulbound” es evitar esta práctica de los BOTS.
Sin tiempo para jugar: Esto es algo muy común en algunos jugadores que son los que se preocupan por hacer crecer sus cuentas, sin embargo, recurren a los BOTS para que, cuando estos no pueden jugar, el servicio se encargue de poder cumplir con el objetivo diario, otros no pueden concentrarse en jugar varias cuentas de manera manual por el número elevado de horas que tienen que pasar frente a las pantallas para lograr tener un desempeño optimo, así que, deciden delegar esta tarea a los BOTS y deciden jugar al menos una de ellas.
El juego ya no les parece divertido: Esta es otra de las razones por la cual, los jugadores contratan servicios de BOTS para jugar sus cuentas, algunos opinan que el juego no ha evolucionado y se han concentrado solo en la economía del mismo, así que, solo configuran los BOTS para que juegue, solo preocupándose por las ganancias y el retorno de la inversión que tendrán, ya que, en su momento invirtieron mucho dinero y por supuesto, no permitirá quedarse sin recompensas.
A todo esto, hay que agregar el abuso que muchos cometen al utilizar los servicios de BOTS para que jueguen innumerables cuentas que, lo que hacen es exprimir la piscina de recompensas, lo cual, es bastante negativo para la economía y la sostenibilidad del juego a largo plazo, sin embargo, el equipo de “Splinterlands” está consciente de este problema y ha estado realizando constantes cambios para frenar su actividad, lo que me parece muy bien, ya que, esto permitiría que la economía crezca poco a poco, ademas, la idea es tener más jugadores reales.
¿Por qué he recurrido a los BOTS? (Mi experiencia personal)
Como ya comenté al inicio de esta publicación, mi posición ante este tema es completamente “Neutral”, jamás me habia preocupado por utilizar este tipo de servicios, así que, realmente no les prestaba mucha atención, hasta que me quedé sin tiempo para poder jugar de forma regular, pero, esto no quiere decir que, no este jugando de forma manual, ya que, el juego aun me parece divertido y atractivo, si tiene sus deficiencias, nada puede ser perfecto, pero, me encantan los juegos de cartas coleccionables, ya lo he mencionado, así que, por eso aun saco tiempo para seguir jugando de forma manual, en especial cuando llega la “Guerra de Gremios”, donde soy muy activa y me encanta participar para apoyar a mi gremio.
A pesar de que mi tiempo para jugar se ha reducido, debido a situaciones personales que tienen que ver con el trabajo, los quehaceres del hogar y un montón de cosas más relacionada con mi vida y sus cambios, aun saco el tiempo para jugar y traerles estrategias geniales, es por eso que utilizo un BOT para que juegue mi cuenta, también, cabe resaltar que estoy en el juego desde el 2020 y he estado activa durante mucho tiempo jugando y haciendo crecer mi cuenta, inclusive en aquella época, después de jugar mi cuenta inmediatamente jugaba la de mi esposo, el cual, fue el que me enseñó a jugar, aunque, el alumno siempre supera al maestro jaja.
Mi experiencia utilizando “Archmage”
No lo habia revelado en el transcurso de toda la publicación, pero, en esta sección hablare sobre el BOT que suelo utilizar algunos dias a la semana para que juegue por mí, mientras no tengo el tiempo para jugar de forma manual, en tal sentido, el BOT que utilizo tiene por nombre “Archmage”, muy parecido a la poderosa carta llamada “Archmage Arius”, supongo que su nombre se inspiró en esta carta, aunque no tengo certeza de esto, pero, a lo que voy, es que, es un BOT muy bueno, la verdad no tengo quejas de el por el momento, su funcionamiento es bastante sofisticado, puesto que, para que este funcione solo tengo que comprar un token el mercado secundario de “Hive Engine o Tribaldex”, para poder utilizarlo, basta con que lo tenga en mi billetera para poderlo configurar, lo importante de esto es que, su plataforma es muy intuitiva y es realmente sencillo configurarlo.
Por otro lado, hablando brevemente de su desempeño, muchas veces las alineaciones que utiliza son confusas y no las entiendo, ya que, no solo se trata de ponerlo a funcionar y olvidarse de él, una vez tengo tiempo y lo desactivo, analizo cada batalla para conocer que estrategias a utilizado, en algunas peleas estoy segura de que jugaría diferente, en otras, realmente las alineaciones que utiliza son brillantes, estas formaciones suelo anotarlas y trato de replicarlas, porque en realidad toma en cuenta muchas cosas que no se me ocurrirían de momento, pero, a pesar de utilizar un BOT, este de cierta manera me ayuda a mejorar mi propio juego, ya que me preocupo por analizar su desempeño.
Aquí dejo registro de algunas de las ultimas batallas que realizo el BOT, el cual es un gran ejemplo para esta publicación, ya que, gano practicamente “TODAS” las batallas teniendo una gran racha:
Conclusión
Realmente no me gustaría utilizar un BOT para jugar, ya que me gusta jugar manual, en especial si eso me convierte en una mejor jugadora, pero, como ya explique, mi situación en este momento es complicada, por lo que algunos dias a la semana lo activo, sin embargo, y a pesar de utilizarlo, no veo esto como un abuso del sistema, ya que lo estoy utilizando en mi única cuenta, también, algo que quisiera es contratar a un “Erudito” para que juegue mi cuenta, esto realmente me gustaría más, pero, el problema es que mi cuenta no es lo suficientemente grande para poder dividir el 50% de las recompensas con esta persona dispuesta a jugar, las ganancias podrían no ser muy atractivas, pero, estoy trabajando para que mi cuenta crezca, así que pienso seguir jugando manual y por ahora seguir activando el BOT, mientras logro un equilibrio en mi tiempo.
Espero que este post les sirva de mucha ayuda para conocer la situación de los famosos BOTS y porque los usuarios recurren a su uso, también, aprovechando que hable de “Archmage”, en otra publicación hablare de forma más detallada sobre este bot para que, aquellos aprendan a configurarlo, lo mejor de este post es que, explicare como poder usarlo para que mejoren su propio juego basado en las estrategias positivas que utilice el BOT.

Like you I am neutral on the matter of bots.
I do disagree with the flooding of the market comment that seems to keep coming up about them. To the best of my knowledge rewards cards had a limited print amount that they had to reach before going out of print. This means the only argument could be that they caused the rewards cards to sell out quicker and temporarily lower the price whilst they were in print. Once out of print the price rises as they are no longer available leading to good profit for those wishing to sell.
Alternatively without bots it would take a lot longer for rewards cards to reach their print limit. Also prices whilst in print would have been slightly higher with less on the market. Once they reached their print limit they would rise as normal though.
Totally agree with your reasons for people turning to bots as I have heard all those stories over time and some even like to play some games but also bot to get max rewards.
For whatever reason they do it, it does not really bother me. I mean if Splinterlands wanted to get rid of bots they would just add KYC like other blockchain games and that would cut most out.

Completely agree with your comment, actually and analyzing well how the printing of the cards works, the performance of the BOTS make them much closer to their printing limit. Aciertas en las razones sobre por qué los usuarios usan bots. Aunque, para mí, en la mayor parte de los casos la razón es más simple: lo hacen porque se puede. Si el sistema, en este caso Splinterlands, lo permite ¿por qué no hacerlo? Si la máquina puede jugar tan más bien que uno y además ahorra tiempo.
Yo soy más de jugar manual, pero si en algún momento lo necesitara no dudaría en recurrir a algún "bot" funcional.
Exactamente, si de verdad quisiera detener su actividad, ya lo fueran hecho, igualmente soy neutral por esas razones, las personas tenemos muchas opiniones diferentes acerca de esto, así que no tengo el derecho de juzgar a nadie que los utilice, lo que hago como mencione en el post, es aprender del mismo todo lo que pueda, pero particularmente tambien me gusta jugar manual.
