Overview

In my mid month review I talked about how I planned to bring some fiat into the Splinterlands Ecosystem. This included $3000 for random stuff and $4000 - 5000 to max out my CL deck. Well unfortunately this was delayed slightly until Mar 3rd, the part that was delayed was the $4000 - 5000 to max out my CL deck. This may have worked out to my benefit. Chaos legion will hit 14M mark and the last air drop will go out around 5:30 AM EST Feb 24. This means I can open my 436 packs I have before I am able to bring in the capital and start to sell off the gold foils I get from opening those packs... hopefully one gold foil legendary summoner.

Previous if I had brought capital into the game on the 17th of Feb as planned I would have purchased the out of print chaos legion reward cards then I would have had a decision to make. Either wait for the last airdrop so I have a chance at the card in the packs or go ahead and forfeit that chance.

Chaos legion sunset

The Splinterlands team is also going to try for a mad dash for the last 500K packs as they are setting aside 300K packs for reward until rebellion starts and the remaining 200K packs for Nifty arcade decks. So the last 500K could have lingered but with this post 175 land plots and 28 Runi are up for grabs for the big spenders.

This means they will have a lot of packs they may dump on the market and CL packs could go down. People will be opening packs to get the last airdrop summoner Lilly. All this means cards could and should go down for a bit at the time I will be looking to big. So while I upset I had to put off maxing out my chaos legion deck it could work out better for me. Any additional capital left would go to starting to max out rift watcher cards. This will take a lot longer to max them out but as I will not have to rent chaos legion cards for champ that excess DEC will likely go to renting cards like Kitty and / or Yodin. It may also go towards buying rift watcher cards.

I'll likely do a season or two with Kitty and / or Yodin or more powerful Untame cards to see if it helps the number of chest I earn. If it does that is where the extra DEC will go. Once Untame exits I'll only have to rent riftwatchers and then rebellion. With any extra I have going to filling in rift watchers then rebellion cards in that order. My hope is by the time rebellion is out of print I'll have been able to max both riftwatchers and rebellion cards. I'll keep you posted as that journey happens, wish me luck on it!!!

Is it whaling or just dolphining... $3000 into the ecosystem.

So I say ecosystem because all of the $3000 didn't go into SL per say.

I purchased 100 nightmare packs off the secondary market (I had previously purchased 14 packs) and I plot of land that claimed. I wasn't going to worry about land but I do want to be part of the secret of Pretoria so I went ahead and purchased a plot to build up. I did decide to take the gamble and get one before surveying and hope for a something other than common... a jackpot hit would be nice.

Purchases

I put fiat into some LPs.

LPs

Both the purchases and LPs right now is in part to earn some passive rewards again. The nightmare packs over all are for my girlfriend and I to both play tower defense. We'll see if we need to open all 114 or if I'll be able to sell some cards or packs later on.

Enter Splinterforge

Again while not Splinterland I purchased ~272 + bonus for 325 crates this ensure I get one of each of the airdrops. I also purchased 283 + bonus for 325 bag again to ensure I get one of each of the air drops. I also purchased a Nartor's ring off the P2P market. I've been playing splinterforge daily on both my main and alt account earning 120K forge in my first week. While forge took a bit after my purchases I am still happy with them and hope to be able to earn in splinterforge to progress there then ultimate bring some of that earnings back into splinterlands.

I can tell you I if I have the extra capital I would purchase the cards I play splinterforge with so I always have them. Rentals for those card can definitely cut into your earnings a bit, though not that much with a geared hero!!!!

The crates were purchased by @jeffopenscards so we could get the 20% bonus. We couldn't get enough together for the 20% bonus on bags so we each purchased those on our own accounts.

325 bags

Staked SPS

I also put 3550, $100 at the time of staked SPS on both accounts. This is partly in preparation for needing the stakes SPS to earn rank battle rewards and partly for the passive income. On the main account I un-stake all my SPS continually to rent cards for champ. I'm hoping that lightens greatly once I max out my chaos legion deck. I'll use the alt account as the baseline of SPS I'll keep on the main. As you can see he has been re-staking the SPS for a 14 SPS earning over the last week. The SPS he earns is set up as reward delegation to come to the main account so it is easier to unstake.

Stake SPS

Conclusion

I'm excited for Mar 3rd to get here to so I can start to work on maxing my chaos legion deck but in the mean time I will post the 436 packs I have now when I open them.
